Արևմուտքը ձգտում է ՆԱՏՕ-ի երկրներից իր խաղաղապահ կոնտինգենտին ներմուծել Հարավային Կովկաս՝ օգնելու Երևանի և Բաքվի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորմանը: Այս մասին օրերս հայտարարել է ՌԴ ԱԴԾ տնօրեն Ալեքսանդր Բորտնիկովը՝ ԱՊՀ անվտանգության գործակալությունների և հատուկ ծառայությունների ղեկավարների խորհրդի նիստում, փոխանցում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։
«Ամերիկացիներն ու եվրոպացիներն ակնհայտորեն շահագրգռված չեն տարածաշրջանում կայունության հաստատմամբ։ Երևանին համոզելով հետաձգել Բաքվի հետ բանակցությունները՝ Արևմուտքը փորձում է առաջնորդել ադրբեջանահայկական կարգավորման գործընթացը և հասնել տարածաշրջանում իր խաղաղապահ կոնտինգենտի տեղակայմանը` դե յուրե ՄԱԿ-ի և դե ֆակտո ՆԱՏՕ-ի հովանու ներքո»,- ասել է Բորտնիկովը։
Ըստ Բորտնիկովի՝ նման «խաղաղապահության» հնարավոր բնույթը մատնանշում է այն փաստը, որ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի սահմանին տեղակայված, այսպես կոչված, ԵՄ անկախ քաղաքացիական դիտորդական առաքելությունը հետախուզական գործունեություն է ծավալում ՆԱՏՕ-ի կոնկրետ երկրի շահերից ելնելով՝ Ռուսաստանի և նրա գործընկերների դեմ։ Բացի այդ, ըստ ՌԴ ԱԴԾ-ի ղեկավարի, արտոնյալ զենքի մատակարարումների և անվտանգության երաշխիքների դիմաց Արևմուտքը ձգտում է Հայաստանի կառավարությանը ստիպել դուրս գալ ՀԱՊԿ-ից, ինչը Երևանին ավելի մեծ կախվածության մեջ կգցի Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքից։
