Հայաստանը «պետք է» շտապ լուծի իր գործող Սահմանադրությամբ ամրագրված ակնհայտ տարածքային պահանջի հարցը՝ կապված «Ադրբեջանի ինքնիշխան տարածքի մի մասի» հետ։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Ադրբեջանի նախագահի հատուկ հանձնարարությունների գծով ներկայացուցիչ Էլչին Ամիրբեկովը Faro di Roma-ին և Eurasiaticanews-ին տված հարցազրույցում:
Նրա խոսքով՝ «Հայաստանը, ժխտելով խաղաղության համար այս կարևոր խոչընդոտի արդիականությունը և ամեն գնով կիսատ-պռատ տեքստի ստորագրման ուղիներ ընտրելով, անտեսում է երկու երկրների միջև տասնամյակների առճակատման հիմնարար պատճառը»։
«Երկու երկրների միջև ուղիղ երկկողմ բանակցությունները՝ խաղաղության պայմանագրի վերաբերյալ, մտել են վճռական վերջնական փուլ, և ես այստեղ եմ վերահաստատելու Ադրբեջանի ամուր հանձնառությունը Հայաստանի հետ կայուն, անվտանգ և անշրջելի խաղաղության հասնելու համար:Այս նպատակին հասնելու համար մեր սուրբ պարտքն է ապահովել, որ ապագա խաղաղության համաձայնագիրը բացարձակապես, նույնիսկ տեսականորեն, անհնարին դարձնի ցանկացած վերադարձ տարածքային պահանջներին, ագրեսիային կամ ռազմական հակամարտություններին: Ադրբեջանը բավականաչափ տուժել է այս աղետից և կցանկանար կանխել այս սցենարի կրկնությունը ապագայում»,- ասել է նա։
