Ամերիկյան վարչակազմը հույս ունի, որ շիական «Հըզբոլլահ» շարժումը թուլացրած իսրայելա-լիբանանյան հակամարտությունը, առաջիկա օրերին հնարավոր կդարձնի հասնել Լիբանանի՝ կազմակերպության հետ սերտ կապեր չունեցող նոր նախագահի ընտրությանը։ Դրա մասին հայտնում է Axios պորտալը՝ վկայակոչելով ամերիկացի պաշտոնյաներին։

Ըստ նրանց՝ Իսրայելի հարվածից «Հըզբոլլահ»-ի գլխավոր քարտուղար Շեյխ Հասան Նասրալլահի մահից հետո ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի վարչակազմը կարծում է, որ «Հըզբոլլահ»-ի ազդեցությունը Լիբանանի քաղաքական համակարգի վրա» նվազեցնելու հնարավորություն կա, երբ ընտրվի նախագահ, որը մոտ չի լինի շարժմանը:

Պաշտոնյաները պարզաբանել են, որ Սպիտակ տունը իրավիճակը դիտարկում է որպես հնարավոր «փակուղուց դուրս գալու» հնարավորություն, որին հասել են Լիբանանի նախագահական ընտրությունները, և պետության նոր ղեկավարի ընտրության հարցը ավելի հրատապ է համարում, քան Իսրայելի հետ հակամարտության լուծումը։

Ինչպես նշել է Axios-ը, Իսրայելում ԱՄՆ հատուկ բանագնաց Էյմոս Հոքսթինը Լիբանանի վարչապետ Նաջիբի հետ զրույցում հայտարարել է, որ ամռանը Վաշինգտոնի կողմից առաջարկված իրավիճակի դիվանագիտական ​​լուծումն այժմ չի քննարկվում ռազմական գործողությունների ակտիվացման պատճառով, և կոչ է արել կենտրոնանալ նախագահի ընտրության վրա։
