«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Պղինձն ու մի շարք այլ մետաղներ լինելու են մոտակա դարաշրջանի զարգացման կարևորագույն շարժիչ ուժերը։ Մինչև 2035 թ. պղնձի պահանջարկն ունենալու է կրկնակի աճ, իսկ պղնձի արտադրությունը չի հասնելու այդ պահանջարկի մակարդակին: 2035 թ. դրությամբ պղնձի դեֆիցիտը համաշխարհային շուկաներում կազմելու է ցածր արտադրողականության դեպքում՝ 9,9 միլիոն, իսկ բարձրի դեպքում՝ նույնիսկ կանխատեսվող ամենալավ արտադրության դեպքում՝ 1,5 մլն տոննա»։ Այս մասին երեկ նշեց Հանքագործների ու մետալուրգների միության նախագահ, Զանգեզուրի պղնձամոլիբդենային կոմբինատի գլխավոր տնօրենի առաջին տեղակալ Վարդան Ջհանյանը՝ Հայաստանի հանքարդյունաբերությանը նվիրված ֆորումի ժամանակ:

Իր հերթին Զանգեզուրի պղնձամոլիբդենային կոմբինատի գլխավոր տնօրեն Ռոման Խուդոլին նշեց, որ պղինձն այսօր անցումային մետաղ է, որն անհրաժեշտ է կանաչ տնտեսության անցնելու համար: Նա պարզաբանել է, որ պղնձի պահանջարկը կաճի աշխարհում նույն էլեկտրական մեքենաների արտադրության ավելացման ֆոնին։ Խուդոլին հայտնել է, որ էլեկտրական մեքենաների արտադրության համար պահանջվում է 4 անգամ ավելի շատ պղինձ, քան ներքին այրման շարժիչով մեքենաների արտադրության համար։ «Անցումը դեպի կանաչ տնտեսություն և ածխաթթուացում մեծ հնարավորություն է այն երկրների համար, որոնք նախկինում ավելի քիչ մրցունակ էին ածխաջրածին արտադրող երկրների հետ: Անցումային մետաղները, այդ թվում՝ պղինձը, նավթ ու գազ են այս երկրների, այդ թվում՝ Հայաստանի համար»,-ասաց նա:

Ի դեպ, հավելենք, որ Զանգեզուրի պղնձամոլիբդենային կոմբինատի, Երևանի պետական համալսարանի և Հայաստանի տարածքային կառավարման և ենթակառուցվածքների նախարարության միջև սեպտեմբերի 27-ին ստորագրվել է համագործակցության հուշագիր։ Փաստաթուղթն ուղղված է հետազոտական նախագծերի համատեղ իրականացմանը։
