ԱՄՆ իշխանությունները ներկայացրել են արևային էներգիայի զարգացման ծրագիր 31 միլիոն ակր տարածքի համար: Հողերի կառավարման բյուրոն (BLM) հայտարարել է պետական հողերում արևային էներգիայի զարգացման առաջարկվող ճանապարհային քարտեզի մասին, որը նպատակ ունի ընդլայնել արևային նախագծերը պետական հողերում:

Այս հայտարարությունը ներկայացնում է առաջարկվող թարմացված Western Solar Plan-ը, որն առաջին անգամ հրապարակվել է 2012 թվականին և մշակվել է պետական հողերում արևային էներգիայի պատասխանատու զարգացման ուղղորդման համար Արիզոնայում, Կալիֆոռնիայում, Կոլորադոյում, Նևադայում, Նյու Մեքսիկոյում և Յուտայում: Վերջերս այն ընդլայնվել է՝ ներառելով նաև Այդահո, Մոնտանա, Օրեգոն, Վաշինգտոն և Վայոմինգ: Այն ավելի քան 31 միլիոն ակր պետական հողեր կդարձնի հասանելի արևային էներգիայի զարգացման համար:

Առաջարկվող Western Solar Plan-ը քայլ է 2035 թվականին 100 % մաքուր էլեկտրացանցի ստեղծման նպատակին հասնելու ճանապարհին: Այս տարվա սկզբին BLM-ը գերազանցել է պետական հողերում ավելի քան 25 ԳՎտ հզորությամբ մաքուր էներգիայի նախագծերի թույլտվությունների տրամադրման նպատակին, և թարմացված Western Solar Plan-ը կնպաստի պատասխանատու թույլտվությունների տրամադրման հետագա առաջընթացին:

Տասներկու տարի առաջ մշակված Western Solar Plan-ն այժմ արտացոլում է տեխնոլոգիաների փոփոխությունները և արձագանքում ԱՄՆ-ում մաքուր էներգիայի աճող պահանջարկին:

Հայաստանում արևային վահանակներ արտադրող մեկ ընկերություն կա՝ «Սոլարոնը»։
