Канада вновь призывает освободить всех этнических армян, произвольно задержанных Азербайджаном

Канада призывает и продолжает поддерживать содержательные переговоры, направленные на заключение всеобъемлющего мирного договора между Арменией и Азербайджаном, заявила министр иностранных дел Канады Мелани Жоли в послании по случаю годовщины военной операции Азербайджана в Нагорном Карабахе.
Министр подчеркнула, что Канада также поддерживает продолжение диалога и мер по укреплению доверия между сторонами ради справедливого и прочного мира для народов региона.
Подчеркнув, что Канада неоднократно призывала к безоговорочному освобождению всех армян, захваченных в плен во время войны 2020 года, Жоли отметила, что они продолжают призывать к освобождению всех этнических армян, произвольно арестованных Азербайджаном.
"Канада поддерживает переговорное решение проблемы Нагорного Карабаха и принцип неприменения силы, а также уважение территориальной целостности, права народа на справедливое самоопределение. Это должно подразумевать безопасное и достойное право на возвращение жителей Армении, гарантии защиты прав человека и сохранения армянского культурного и исторического наследия на территории", - говорится в заявлении.
