FT: ЕС может выделить Украине кредит в размере $44,48 млрд без участия США

ЕС договорился о предоставлении Украине нового кредита на сумму около $44,48 млрд до конца 2024 года независимо от участия США. Об этом сообщила газета Financial Times со ссылкой на трех европейских чиновников.
По ее данным, такой односторонний шаг может быть предпринят на фоне опасения Брюсселя, что Будапешт помешает предоставить США гарантии, которые нужны для участия в погашении кредита замороженными активами России. Правительство Орбана пытается отложить принятие решения до проведения президентских выборов в США, однако ЕС должен уже сейчас подготовить альтернативу, чтобы помощь дошла до Киева до конца 2024 года.
«Необходимо срочно принять предложение до конца октября, чтобы союзный кредит мог быть предоставлен до конца 2024 года для будущих выплат траншами», - приводит газета проект предложения.
Согласно нему, выделение нового кредита будет считаться расширением помощи, которое потребует поддержки большинства стран - участниц ЕС, а не единогласного голосования, что поможет обойти вето Венгрии.
