Թենիսի հայ աստղ Էլինա Ավանեսյանը Երևանում այսօր հանդիպել է լրագրողների հետ, պատմել ՀՀ դրոշի ներքո հանդես գալու իր որոշման և այլնի մասին:
«Շնորհակալություն եմ հայտնում բոլոր այն մարդկանց, որոնք այս ուղևորությունը հնարավոր դարձրին: Շատ ուրախ եմ լինել այստեղ և անհամբերությամբ եմ սպասում բոլոր այն միջոցառումներին, որոնց կմասնակցեմ այստեղ: Շնորհակալ եմ նաև բոլոր այն մարդկանց, ում շնորհիվ հնարավոր դարձավ իմ՝ ՀՀ քաղաքացիություն ստանալն ու ՀՀ դրոշի ներքո հանդես գալը: Ամեն ինչ շատ հեշտ և արագ ստացվեց: Իմ որոշման հիմքում նախևառաջ ընկած է Հայաստանում սպորտի, և հատկապես թենիսի զարգացմանը նպաստելու ցանկությունը: Գիտեմ, որ Հայաստանում այս մարզաձևով զբաղվող մարզիկները շատ չեն: Հուսով եմ՝ կկարողանամ մոտիվացնել նրանց: Ես ինքս էլ շատ մոտիվացված եմ: Ցանկանում եմ թենիսի կորտերում ավելի շատ ՀՀ դրոշներ տեսնել: Կարծում եմ՝ Հայաստանի համար սա մեծ հնարավորոթյուն կլինի:
Եթե անկեղծ, սա բավական անսպասելի հնարավորություն էր, բայց շատ հպարտ եմ: Ուժերիս ներածին չափով կանեմ ամեն ինչ` նպաստելու Հայաստանում թենիսի զարգացմանն ու մոտիվացնելու երիտասարդ սերնդին»,- ասել է Էլինա Ավանեսյանը:
Հայաստանի թենիսի ֆեդերացիայի գործադիր տնօրեն Գևորգ Կարամանուկյանը հայտնել է՝ Էլինայի՝ ՀՀ քաղաքացիություն ստանալու գործընթացը սկսվել է ամիսներ առաջ. «Մեր ֆեդերացիան շատ կարևոր համագործակցություն սկսեց «Կերոն» զարգացման հիմնադրամի հետ, որի արդյունքում ստացվեց իրականություն դարձնել այս ամենը: Էլինան ցանկացավ հանդես կգալ ՀՀ դրոշի ներքո և ստանալ Հայաստանի քաղաքացիություն, և նրա այդ նախաձեռնությունը ողջունվեց մեր կողմից: Այսպիսով, մենք կունենանք աշխարհի 50 լավագույն թենիսիստներից մեկին, որը հանդես է գալիս ՀՀ դրոշի ներքո, իսկ մի քանի տարի անց նաև կկարողանա ընդգրկվել Հայաստանի կանանց ազգային հավաքականի կազմում: Սա շատ ոգևորիչ է մեր բոլոր երիտասարդ մարզիկների համար, որոնք կտեսնեն Էլինայի քայլերը և կձգտեն ունենալ նմանօրինակ հաջողություններ»:
Ավանեսյանը թենիսի կանանց ասոցիացիայի (WTA) դասակարգման թարմացված աղյուսակում այժմ զբաղեցնում է 49-րդ հորիզոնականը և վերջերս ՀՀ ԿԳՄՍ նախարարության, «Կերոն» զարգացման հիմնադրամի և Հայաստանի թենիսի ֆեդերացիայի աջակցությամբ ստացել է ՀՀ քաղաքացիություն՝ արդեն իսկ Հայաստանի դրոշի ներքո հանդես գալով միջազգային խոշոր մրցաշարերում:
