Նորվեգիայում տեղադրվել է աշխարհի ամենամեծ ուղղահայաց արևային էլեկտրակայանը։ Over Easy Solar-ի մասնագետներն Ուլևոլ ֆուտբոլային մարզադաշտի տանիքին տեղադրել են աշխարհի ամենամեծ արևային էլեկտրակայանը՝ ուղղահայաց վահանակներով: Այն ունի առավելագույն հզորություն 248 կՎտ, և, ի տարբերություն այլ արևային էլեկտրակայանների, տեղադրման համար պահանջվել են օրեր, այլ ոչ ամիսներ:
Ուղղահայաց արևային վահանակները, ի տարբերություն հորիզոնականների, շատ ավելի հեշտ են տեղադրվում: Նվազեցնելով վահանակի չափը՝ Over Easy Solar-ը հասել է կայանի ընդհանուր զանգվածի կրճատմանը մինչև ընդամենը 11 կիլոգրամ մեկ քառակուսի մետրի համար, ինչը հարմար է դարձնում տեղադրումը տարբեր վայրերում և նույնիսկ ֆուտբոլային մարզադաշտի տանիքում:
Նոր ուղղահայաց արևային էլեկտրակայանը բաղկացած է 200 վտ հզորությամբ 1242 ագրեգատից՝ տեղակայված 2500 քառակուսի մետր տարածքի վրա։ Նրանք միասին տարեկան կարտադրեն 219 000 կիլովատտ էներգիա։
Հայաստանում արևային վահանակներ արտադրող մեկ ընկերություն կա՝ «Սոլարոնը»։
