USAID вдвое увеличивает объем финансирования программ в Армении

Вице-премьер Мгер Григорян и директор армянской миссии Агентства международного развития Соединенных Штатов Америки Джон Аллело подписали изменение в грантовое соглашение о развитии сотрудничества между Арменией и США.

В результате более чем в два раза увеличивается порог суммы, предоставляемой в рамках соглашения USAID, со 120 миллионов долларов до 250 миллионов долларов, а также расширяются области совместных программ.

Как сообщили Новости Армении - NEWS.am в правительстве, расширенное соглашение будет охватывать такие ключевые области, как управление рисками стихийных бедствий, кибербезопасность, продовольственная и энергетическая безопасность, региональное сотрудничество и торговля, демократические процессы и инклюзивное экономическое развитие.

«Для Армении важна не только финансовая поддержка, но и демократические ценности, творческие идеи и развитая бизнес-культура, продвигаемые в результате наших совместных программ. Внедрение последних позволяет нам проводить фундаментальные реформы в нашей стране и повышать качество жизни граждан», - отметил вице-премьер Мгер Григорян, поблагодарив США за содействие на пути претворения в жизнь амбициозной программы реформ в Армении.

«Это изменение демонстрирует нашу приверженность партнерству с Арменией. Увеличивая объем нашей поддержки и расширяя наши программы, мы помогаем Армении развиваться и добиваться успеха. Наша работа с правительством и министерствами Армении играет решающую роль в достижении наших общих целей», - сказал Джон Аллело.
