ԱՄՆ-ը դադարեցրել է Վրաստանի սեյսմիկ մոնիտորինգի կենտրոնի ֆինանսավորումը

ԱՄՆ-ն անորոշ ժամանակով դադարեցրել է Վրաստանի սեյսմիկ մոնիտորինգի կենտրոնի ֆինանսավորումը, ըստ NewsGeorgia-ի՝ դրա մասին հայտնել է տնօրեն Թեա Գոդոլաձեն։
«Հակիրճ կգրեմ. Ամերիկան դադարեցրել է Սեյսմիկ մոնիտորինգի կենտրոնի ֆինանսավորումը: Լուգարայի լաբորատորիայից հետո սպասվում էր, որ դա անխուսափելի է»,- գրել է Գոդոլաձեն սոցցանցերում։
ԱՄՆ-ն այս ամառ հայտարարեց, որ դադարեցնում է ավելի քան 95 միլիոն դոլարի օգնությունը Վրաստանին։ Որոշման հիմնավորման մեջ նշվում են «հակաժողովրդավարական գործողությունները և Վրաստանի կառավարության կեղծ հայտարարությունները, որոնք չեն համապատասխանում ԵՄ-ին և ՆԱՏՕ-ին անդամակցության չափանիշներին»։ Վրաստանի կառավարությունից հայտարարել են, որ չգիտեն՝ ինչի համար էր նախատեսված այդ գումարը:
Աստիճանաբար հայտնի են դառնում այն մասշտաբները և հստակ ոլորտները, որոնց վրա ազդել է ֆինանսավորման կասեցումը։ Գոդոլաձեն գրում է, որ ԱՄՆ-ը 25 տարի ֆինանսավորում է Վրաստանի համար սեյսմիկ և երկրաբաշխական մոնիտորինգի նախագծերը, որոնց շնորհիվ հնարավոր դրաձավ բարձր որակավորում ունեցող մասնագետների թիմ հավաքել և պահպանել և թանկարժեք սարքավորումներ ձեռք բերել։
«Մենք գնել ենք ամենաթանկ տեխնիկան, որը հնարավոր չէր ձեռք բերել պետական ֆինանսավորմամբ։ 2002 թվականի Թբիլիսիի հայտնի երկրաշարժի ժամանակ երկրում ոչ մի թվային սեյսմիկ կայան չկար։ Թբիլիսիում և Ախալքալաքում ունեինք միայն անալոգային, հնացած սեյսմիկ կայաններ, որոնք նույնիսկ թույլ չէին տալիս որոշել երկրաշարժի էպիկենտրոնը»,- ասված է Սեյսմիկ կենտրոնի տնօրենի հայտարարության մեջ։
Գոդոլաձեն նշում է, որ վերջին տարիներին ամերիկյան աջակցության շնորհիվ իրավիճակը փոխվել է, և այժմ Վրաստանի սեյսմիկ կենտրոնը դարձել է համաշխարհային սեյսմիկ մոնիտորինգի մաս։
Կենտրոնի գիտական թիմը ներառում է 80 աշխատակից, որոնք վերահսկում են 49 սեյսմիկ կայաններ ամբողջ Վրաստանի տարածքում և մինչև 160 մշտական և ժամանակավոր երկրաբաշխական կայաններ:
Վերջերս կենտրոնն աշխատում էր սեյսմիկ վտանգի քարտեզների թարմացման վրա, նախագիծը ֆինանսավորել է Միացյալ Նահանգները, այս պահին հայտնի չէ, թե արդյոք այդ աշխատանքները կհաջողվի շարունակել:
«Ներկայում ուղիներ ենք փնտրում՝ փրկելու այն, ինչ մեր ամերիկացի գործընկերների հետ կառուցել ենք տարիների ընթացքում: Շնորհակալություն մեր ամերիկացի գործընկերներին և ամերիկացի ժողովրդին՝ Վրաստանին աջակցության համար։ Հուսով ենք, որ դա ժամանակավոր է, և իրավիճակը անդառնալի կործանարար չի դառնա»,- նշել է Գոդոլաձեն։
