Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին այսօր նշում է Նիկիայի սուրբ ժողովի 318 Հայրապետների հիշատակության օրը։ Այս մասին տեղեկանում ենք qahana.am կայքից։
Քրիստոսի Եկեղեցու պատմության մեջ առաջին Տիեզերական ժողովը տեղի է ունեցել 325 թվականին, Կոստանդիանոս Մեծ կայսեր հրամանով, Կ. Պոլսի մոտ գտնվող Նիկիա քաղաքում: Ժողովին մասնակցում էին Ընդհանրական Եկեղեցու 318 նշանավոր հայրապետներ:
Տիեզերաժողովի գումարման շարժառիթն Ալեքսանդրիայի Արիոս անունով երեցն էր, ով քարոզում էր, թե Քրիստոս անսկիզբ չէ, այլ ստեղծվել է ժամանակներից ու դարերից առաջ Հայր Աստծո ցանկությամբ, որպեսզի նրա միջոցով կատարվի արարչագործությունը: «Միակ անծնունդը, միակ հավիտենականը, միակ անսկիզբը Հայր Աստված է: Որդին առաջացել է ոչ թե Հոր էությունից, այլ ոչնչից: Կար ժամանակ, երբ Որդին չկար: Որդին թեև ստացել է Հայր Աստծո ողջ շնորհքը և որդեգրվել, սակայն անապական չէ, ինչպես Հայրը, այլ այլայլելի, ինչպես արարածները», - Արիոսի այս դատողություների պատճառով փաստորեն մերժվում էր Քրիստոսի Աստվածությունը՝ վտանգի տակ դնելով ողջ քրիստոնեական վարդապետությունը:
Արիոսկանությանը դեմ է դուրս գալիս Ալեքսանդրիայի Ալեքսանդր արքեպիսկոպոսը: Նա իր քարոզներում շեշտում էր, որ հավիտենական է Աստված, հավիտենական է և Որդին, Հայրը և Որդին միաժամանակ գոյություն ունեն: Հայրը Որդուն չի նախորդում ոչ մի վայրկյան, միշտ եղել է Հայրը, միշտ եղել է Որդին: Այս Տիեզերաժողովում դատապարտվում է Արիոսի մոլորությունը՝ հայտարարելով այն հերետիկոսություն: Նիկիայի Ա Տիեզերաժողովին մասնակցում էր նաև Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի որդին` Արիստակեսը: Ժողովի ընդունած դավանաբանական բանաձևը, որը հայտնի է Նիկիական հանգանակ անունով, Ս. Արիստակես Հայրապետը Հայաստան է բերել, ներկայացրել հորը` Ս Գրիգոր Լուսավորչին: Վերջինս էլ դրան ավելացրել է «Իսկ մեք փառաւորեսցուք... » հատվածը:
Նիկիայում ընդունված Հավատո հանգանակն ու Լուսավորչի ավելացրած հատվածը մինչև այսօր էլ անփոփոխ օգտագործում են Հայ Եկեղեցու ծիսակարգում: Արիստակեսն իր հետ Հայաստան էր բերել նաև Նիկիայի ժողովում ընդունած 20 կանոնները, որոնք նույնպես հաստատվել են Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի կողմից:
