Երբ ընդդիմությունը, քաղաքագետները, պարզապես զգոն քաղաքացիներն ահազանգում են, որ Փաշինյանն ու իր թիմը խարխլում են ազգային ինքնագիտակցության հիմքերը, գիտակցված քայլեր են ձեռնարկում ամեն ազգայինի դեմ, շատերը փորձում են ծաղրել, հակադարձել, հերքել այդ պնդումները։ Մինչդեռ, իրավիճակը շատ ավելի վատ է, քան պատկերացնում են Հայաստանում։

ՔՊ-ական իշխանությանը քուն ու դադար չի տալիս այն փաստը, որ պետական մի շարք հաստատությունների անվան մեջ «ազգային» մասնիկը կա, և որոշել են նոր օրենսդրական փոփոխություններով այն փոխարինել «պետական» բառերով։ Փաշինյանը, որ սիրում է իրար հակադրել «պետականն» ու «ազգայինը», «պատմականն» ու «իրականը», ամեն ինչ անում է ազգայինից, պատմականից հրաժարվելու համար։ Մինչդեռ հենց ազգայինն է պետականի հիմքը, պատմականն է՝ իրականի հիմքը։

Նախօրեին խորհրդարանում տարօրինակ մի քննարկում է կայացել, ԿԳՄՍ փոխնախարար Դանիել Դանիելյանը հայտարարել է, թե արժեքավորելով պետությունը, պետականությունը և պետական արժեքները, իրենք առաջարկում են, որպեսզի օրենքի մեջ փոփոխություն լինի և ազգային բառը փոխարինվի պետական բառով։ Ընդդիմադիր պատգամավոր Լիլիթ Գալստյանը նշել է, որ 2011 թվականին իր ներկայացրած նախագիծն է օրենք դարձել, որով համազգային ու համապետական բացառիկ գործ անող մշակութային կազմակերպություններին Ազգային կարգավիճակ է շնորհվում կառավարության որոշմամբ։ Ընդ որում՝ ազգայինի կարգավիճակ ստանում է տվյալ ոլորտը ներկայացնող միայն մեկ կազմակերպություն։ Օրինակ՝ տիկնիկայիններից ազգային է միայն Թումանյանի անվան թատրոնը, թատրոններից ազգային է միայն Սունդուկյանը, երգչախմբերից՝ Հովհաննես Չեքիջյանինը։

Պատգամավորի գնահատմամբ՝ ազգային հաստատությունների անվանումներից այդ բառը պետականով փոխարինելը մի բան է նշանակում՝ իշխող «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիրը» հակակրանք ունի ազգայինի հանդեպ:
