Հայաստանում տեղեկատվական տեխնոլոգիաների ոլորտը ճգնաժամի մեջ է, իսկ տեղական մասնագետների ու ռելոկանտների մի մասը նախընտրում է հեռանալ այլ երկրներ։ Գործող իշխանությունները ոլորտը տեղեկատվական են հռչակել, պարբերաբար էլ տարփողում են հաջողությունների մասին, բայց այդ հաջողությունները միայն թղթի վրա են, իրականում ՏՏ ոլորտն աստիճանաբար նվազում է։ Մասնագետներն ահազանգ են հնչեցնում, որ նվազման տեմպերը պահպանվելու դեպքում ոլորտը կարող ենք կորցնել։

2022-ին արձանագրված սրընթաց աճից հետո թե՛ աշխատատեղերի և թե՛ աշխատավարձերի առումով ՏՏ ոլորտը 2023 թ–ի սկզբից կանգնած է։ Ըստ պաշտոնական վիճակագրության, եթե 2018-22 թթ–ին ՏՏ ոլորտի աշխատողների թիվը կտրուկ աճել է` 8000–ից հասնելով մինչև 33 հազարի, իսկ 2023–ից աճը ոչ միայն դադարել է, այլև որոշակի նվազել։ Շուրջ երկու տարի է՝ աճ չի գրանցվել նաև աշխատավարձերի առումով։

ՏՏ ոլորտի լճացման պատճառները մի քանիսն են, բայց առանցքային են երկուսը։ Առաջինը՝ դրամի արժևորումն է։ ՏՏ ոլորտի ընկերությունները բազմիցս են նշել, որ դրամի արժևորումը լրջորեն հարվածում է արտերկրից արժույթներով գումար ստացող ընկերությունների և անհատների շահերին։ Իշխանություններն առանձնապես ջանքեր չեն գործադրում, մի քանի ընկերությունների դոտացիաներ տրամադրելուց հետո գործընթացը կանգ է առել։

ՏՏ ոլորտի ընկերությունների համար խնդրահարույց է նաև սխալ հարկաբյուջետային քաղաքականությունը։ Շրջանառության հարկը ՓՄՁ–ների համար 2025 թվականի հունվարի 1-ից 5 %-ից բարձրանալու է մինչև 10 %, շահութահարկն էլ 2025 թ. հունվարի 1-ից դառնալու է 20 տոկոս։ Արդյունքում շահում են հարևան երկրները, որոնք ավելի գրավիչ պայմաններ և ցածր հարկեր են առաջարկում ՏՏ ոլորտի ընկերություններին։ Ընկերություններից շատերը հեռանում են Վրաստան, Արաբական Միացյալ էմիրություններ, Արևելյան Եվրոպա։
