Քամալա Հարիսը պաշտոնապես առաջադրվել է ԱՄՆ նախագահի թեկնածու

Չիկագոյում անցկացվող Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության ազգային համագումարի ընթացքում արարողակարգային քվեարկության ժամանակ ԱՄՆ փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսին հաստատել են նախագահի թեկնածուի պաշտոնում։ Նրա օգտին քվեարկել է 4566 պատվիրակ։
CNN-ը հաղորդում է, որ Հարիսն այդ ժամանակ գտնվում էր Վիսկոնսին նահանգում, որտեղ իր փոխնախագահի թեկնածու Թիմ Ուոլցի հետ նախընտրական հանրահավաք էր անցկացնում։ Նա այնտեղից տեսակապով միացել է Չիկագոյում անցկացվող համագումարին և ընդունել իր առաջադրումը։
Իսկ Չիկագոյում, որտեղ համագումարի երկրորդ օրն էր, Քամալա Հարիսին իրենց աջակցությունն են հայտնել նախկին նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման և նախկին առաջին տիկին Միշել Օբաման։
Բարաք Օբամայի խոսքով՝ «Ամերիկան պատրաստ է ավելի լավ պատմության»։ Օբաման քննադատել է նախկին նախագահ և հանրապետականների թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփին՝ նշելով, որ ԱՄՆ-ին հարկավոր չէ Թրամփի՝ ևս չորս տարվա նախագահություն։
«Ամերիկան պատրաստ է նոր էջի, Ամերիկյան պատրաստ է ավելի լավ պատմության։ Մենք պատրաստ ենք նախագահ Քամալա Հարիսին», - ասել է Օբաման։
Նա նաև նշել է, որ պատմությունը կհիշի նախագահ Ջո Բայդենին, որն Օբամայի նախագահության ժամանակ զբաղեցնում էր փոխնախագահի պաշտոնը։
Բայդենը ելույթ է ունեցել Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության ազգային համագումարի առաջին օրը։ Նա բեմ է դուրս եկել արցունքոտ աչքերով, երկար ելույթում թվարկել է նախագահության ընթացքում իր ունեցած ձեռքբերումները և գովել Քամալա Հարիսին՝ նշելով, որ իր կարիերայի լավագույն որոշումը եղել է Քամալա Հարիսին որպես փոխնախագահ ընտրելը։
ԱՄՆ-ում նախագահական ընտրությունները կկայանան նոյեմբերի 5-ին։
