Քենեթ Փարքսի անհավատալի պատմությունը. լուսնոտներ, ովքեր սպանում են քնած ժամանակ
LIFE1987թ. Քենեթ Փարքսը քնած էր Տորոնտոյի իր տանը: Նա հայտնի էր գիշերները քնած ժամանակ թափառելով: Փարքսը քնած էր, երբ վեր կացավ անկողնուց և քայլեց ուղիղ դեպի մուտքի դուռը: Բացեց այն և դուրս եկավ: Նա չէր շտապում, ոչ էլ ցրված էր, նա պարզապես միաժամանակ այլ տեղում էր գտնվում: Փարքսը նստեց մեքենան, վարեց 23 կմ դեպի իր կնոջ ծնողների տուն: Երբ տեղ հասավ, վերցրեց խոհանոցային դանակը, մտավ նրանց ննջասենյակ և դանակահարեց նրանց իրենց անկողնում: Փարքսի կնոջ մայրը մահացավ, իսկ հայրը լուրջ վնասվածքներ ստացավ:
Երբ ավարտեց գործը, ասում են՝ քայլեց տան շուրջը՝ «կենդանական ձայներ» հանելով: Նա վերադարձավ մեքենան և սկսեց վարել, երբ հանկարծ արթնացավ արյունոտ ձեռքերով և աղոտ հիշեց, թե ինչ էր հենց նոր պատահել: Ամենաշփոթեցնող փաստը, հավանաբար, այն է, թե ինչպես է Փարքսը շարունակել քնած մնալ, երբ 2 ձեռքերին էլ լուրջ կտրվածքներ է ստացել: Այդ փաստը հետագայում բարձրաձայնվեց նրա դատի ժամանակ և օգնեց խուսափել դատական հետապնդումից:
Բժիշկ Մեթյու Վոլֆ-Մայերը 2003թ. սկսած ուսումնասիրում է քնի խանգարումները: Նա լավ տեղյակ է այս դեպքից և նշել է, որ Փարքսը ֆիզիկապես սթրեսային վիճակում է եղել այդ ժամանակ, և դա կարող էր խաղալ իր դերը: Փարքսը պարասոմնիասով տառապելու փորձ ուներ և քնած ժամանակ ագրեսիա ցույց տալու հավանականությունը շատ մեծ էր: Փարքսի խաղատան պարտքերը նույնպես դեր են խաղացել: Այդ գիշեր նա կնոջը խոստովանել էր, որ ֆինանսական խնդիրներ ունի:
Պարասոմնիասը մարդկանց նյարդային համակարգի աննորմալ կամ տարօրինակ վարվելաձևն է քնած ժամանակ: Քնած և արթուն լինելու մեջ մարդկային մարմինը ի վիճակի է բարդ հանձնարարակններ կատարել, սակայն մարդը անտեղյակ է իր քայլերից: Նրանք ունենում են սարսափելի մղձավանջներ, հետո արթնանում են և իրենց կյանքը փոխված է լինում հավերժ: Քենեթ Փարքսը նմանատիպ իրավիճակի զոհերից մեկն է եղել:
