Լոնդոնի Կայսերական քոլեջի վերջերս կատարած ուսումնասիրությունը բացահայտել է կլիմայի վրա ազդող անսպասելի գործոն. ժամանակակից ինքնաթիռները, որոնք թռչում են մդծ բարձրության վրա, թողնում են ինվերսիոն հետքեր, որոնք նպաստում են գլոբալ տաքացմանը ավելի երկար ժամանակով, քան ինքնաթիռների հին մոդելները, հայտնում է IOPScience-ը:
Ինվերսիոն հետքերը բարակ ամպեր են, որոնք առաջանում են ինքնաթիռի արտանետված գազերից, հաղորդում է PlanetToday-ը: Այս ամպերը ջերմություն են պահում մթնոլորտում՝ մեծացնելով տաքացման էֆեկտը: Չնայած ժամանակակից ինքնաթիռները, ինչպիսիք են Airbus A350-ը և Boeing 787-ը, ավելի քիչ ածխածին են արտանետում, սակայն դրանց ինվերսիոն հետքերը ավելի երկար են մնում մթնոլորտում՝ ստեղծելով լրացուցիչ ազդեցություն կլիմայի վրա:
Օգտագործելով մեքենայական ուսուցումը և ավելի քան 64,000 ինվերսիոն հետքերի արբանյակային տվյալները, գիտնականները պարզել են, որ 38,000 ֆուտ (մոտ 12 կմ) բարձրությամբ թռիչքները հանգեցնում է ավելի երկարատև ինվերսիոն հետքերի ձևավորմանը: Դա պայմանավորված է նրանով, որ մեծ բարձրություններում օդն ավելի նոսր է, ինչը իջեցնում է աերոդինամիկ դիմադրությունը և նվազեցնում վառելիքի սպառումը, բայց միևնույն ժամանակ պայմաններ է ստեղծում ինվերսիոն հետքերի առաջացման համար, որոնք դանդաղորեն ցրվում են:
Հետազոտությունը նաև ցույց է տվել, որ մասնավոր ինքնաթիռներն ավելի շատ հետքեր են թողնում, քան նախկինում ենթադրվում էր, ինչը մեծացնում է դրանց ներդրումը կլիմայի փոփոխության մեջ:
Այսպիսով, ավիաընկերությունները կանգնած են դժվարին խնդրի լուծման առաջ․ ինչպես նվազեցնել ածխածնային հետքը՝ ինվերսիոն հետքերի միջոցով չմեծացնելով իրենց ազդեցությունը կլիմայի վրա:
