Գիտնականները պնդում են, որ ստեղծել են աշխարհի ամենակծու պղպեղը

Որոշ մարդիկ մեծ հաճույք են վայելում շատ կծու կերակուրից: Որպես կանոն, այս էֆեկտին հասնելու համար օգտագործում են չիլի պղպեղը, իսկ այժմ գիտնականները կարծում են, որ ստեղծել են աշխարհի ամենակծու պղպեղը, գրում է IFLScience-ը։
Նոր բույսը ստացել է Pepper X անվանումը, այն աճեցրել է Էդ Քարին PuckerButt Pepper Company-ից, գրում է Focus-ը։ Վերջերս այն արժանացել է Գինեսի ռեկորդակրի կոչմանը՝ գերազանցելով աշխարհահռչակ Carolina Reaper չիլի պղպեղի նախորդ ռեկորդը։
Հայտնի է, որ իր կծվությամբ այն Սկովիլի սանդղակով (SHU) հասել է 2,693,000 միավորի: Համեմատության համար, Carolina Reaper-ը, որը նույնպես Քարին է աճեցրել, միջինը կազմել է 1,569,300 SHU: 2013 թվականին այն ընդգրկվել է Գինեսի ռեկորդների գրքում՝ որպես աշխարհի ամենակծու չիլի պղպեղը, սակայն այս ռեկորդն այժմ գերազանցվել է։ Միևնույն ժամանակ, Սկովիլի սանդղակով հաբաներոյի կծվությունն ընդամենը 100,000–350,000 SHU է, իսկ հալապենյոն՝ 4000–8500 SHU։
Նշենք, որ Սկովիլի սանդղակը չիլի պղպեղի և այլ կծու մթերքների ինտենսիվությունը չափում է՝ որոշելով, թե որքան նոսրացված պետք է լինի լուծույթը՝ կծվությունը չեզոքացնելու համար: Նոր Pepper X-ի դեպքում կպահանջվի 2,7 միլիոն բաժակ շաքարաջուր՝ այս չիլի պղպեղի մեկ բաժակի մեջ պարունակվող ցավը վերացնելու համար:
Հետազոտողները նշում են, որ, ինչպես և մյուս չիլի պղպեղը, Pepper X-ն իր կծվությունը ստանում է կապսաիցինի մոլեկուլից, որն ակտիվացնում է բերանի և կոկորդի ցավի ռեցեպտորները, երբ մտնում է օրգանիզմ: Գիտնականները ենթադրում են, որ բույսերն ի սկզբանե օգտագործել են կապսաիցինը որպես վախեցնող միջոց պոտենցիալ գիշատիչների համար, բայց ինչ-որ պահի մարդիկ սկսել են գնահատել «կծու համեմունքները» և սկսել են դրանք օգտագործել կծու կերակուրներ պատրաստելու համար:
Կապսաիցինը սովորաբար պարունակվում է պղպեղի սերմերը շրջապատող հյուսվածքում, որը հայտնի է պլացենտա անունով: Համաձայն Գինեսի համաշխարհային ռեկորդների գրքի, Pepper X-ն այդքան կծու է իր կոր և կողավոր ձևի պատճառով, ինչը մեծացնում է պլացենտայի աճի տարածությունը:
Քարին չի վաճառում Pepper X պղպեղը կամ սերմերը, ուստի այն համտեսելու միակ միջոցը նրա արտադրած կծու սոուսները գնելն է: Քարին ասում է, որ իրենից 10 տարի է պահանջվել Carolina Reapers-ը այլ «սաստիկ կծու» պղպեղներով պատվաստելու համար Հարավային Կարոլինայի Ֆորտ Միլում գտնվող իր ֆերմայում:
