Հայաստանի և Ռուսաստանի դարավոր հարաբերությունները չեն չեղարկի պատմությունը վերաշարադրելու ոչ մի փորձ։ Այդ մասին հայտարարել է Հայաստանում ՌԴ դեսպան Սերգեյ Կոպիրկինը Օշականի հերոսների հուշարձանի մոտ՝ Օշականի ճակատամարտի 197-րդ տարեդարձին նվիրված հանդիսավոր միջոցառման ժամանակ։ 

Ինչպես հայտնում է Sputnik Արմենիան, միջոցառումը կազմակերպել է Հայաստանում Ռուսաստանի դեսպանատունը՝ Երևանում Ռուսական տան և Արմավիրի մարզպետարանի հետ համատեղ, ի հիշատակ Մայր Աթոռ սուրբ Էջմիածինը պաշտպանած ռուս զինվորների և հայ կամավորների։

«Ռուսաստանն անկեղծորեն գնահատում է Հայաստանի հետ բարեկամությունը։ Մեր եղբայրական ժողովուրդներին կապում են բազմադարյա մշակութային–քաղաքակրթական կապերն ու հոգևոր մտերմությունը: Պատմությունը վերաշարադրելու ոչ մի փորձ չի չեղարկի այս փաստը։ Չնայած նրան, որ 8 - րդ դասարանի Հայոց պատմության նոր դասագրքից հանվել է Օշականի ճակատամարտի մասին պարբերությունը, մենք ձեզ հետ միշտ հիշելու և մեծարելու ենք այդ հիշարժան օրերի հերոսներին», - ասել է Սերգեյ Կոպիրկինը։

Նրա խոսքով՝  1827 թվականի օգոստոսի 17-ը հավերժ գրված է երկու ժողովուրդների հերոսական տարեգրության մեջ։
«Բոլոր զոհերով և կորուստներով հանդերձ, մեր պաշտպանները արժանապատվորեն դիմացան ժամանակի փորձությանը և ապացուցեցին, որ միասնական նպատակով համախմբված, նրանք հզոր ուժ են և կարող են դիմակայել և հաղթել ցանկացած պարագայում»,-ասել է դեսպանը:

«Նրանց օրինակով երիտասարդները սովորում են այնպիսի որակներ, ինչպիսիք են հայրենասիրությունը, ազգային և մարդկային արժեքները պաշտպանելու պատրաստակամությունը։ Հատկապես հաճելի է այսօր այստեղ տեսնել երիտասարդների, ոորոնք գիտակցում են իրենց նախնիների անմահ սխրանքի հիշատակը վառ պահելու պատասխանատվությունը», - ասել է Կոպիրկինը՝ ընդգծելով, որ հայոց հողի քաջարի պաշտպանների փառքը հավերժ կապրի սերունդների հիշողության մեջ՝ որպես իսկական արիության և հերոսության ամենավառ նմուշ:
