Սերժ Սարգսյանը պատասխանել է Սեդա Ազնավուրի նամակին, որով երգչուհին խնդրել էր ներել եւ ազատ արձակել դերասան Վարդան Պետրոսյանին:
Հիշեցնենք, որ աշխարհահռչակ շանսոնիե Շառլ Ազնավուրի դուստրը գրել էր. «Հայաստանի հարգելի պարոն նախագահ, քանի որ դու իմ հայտնի հոր ընկերն ես եւ վերջինս էլ ներգրավված է Հայաստանի բարեկեցության ամրապնդման գործում, Դուք կարող եք նրա աղջկան՝ Սեդային, երջանիկ դարձնել` ազատելով Վարդան Պետրոսյանին»:
Սեդա Ազնավուրի ֆեյսբուքյան էջից տեղեկանում ենք, որ Սերժ Սարգսյանը պատասխանել է աշխարհահռչակ շանսոնիեի դստեր նամակին՝ իր ասելիքը փոխանցելով նախագահական գրասենյակի աշխատակազմի ղեկավար Վիգեն Սարգսյանի միջոցով: Սարգսյանը նշել է հետեւյալը. «Սիրով նկատի կառնեմ ձեր նամակը: Ես նույնպես մեծ հույսեր ունեմ Վարդան Պետրոսյանի վրա, որ կարողանա ուժ գտնել եւ մեզ օգնել, որպեսզի կարողանանք լուծել այս թնջուկը եւ ներման գործընթացը հնարավոր լինի արագ իրականացնել»:
