«Իրանը որևէ մեկից թույլտվություն չի խնդրի սեփական ինքնիշխանությունը պաշտպանելու իր իրավունքը իրացնելու համար»։ Իրանի արտգործնախարարության պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Նասեր Քանանին նման հայտարարությամբ է հանդես եկել:
Օգոստոսի 12-ին Մեծ Բրիտանիան, Գերմանիան և Ֆրանսիան հանդես են եկել համատեղ հայտարարությամբ, որում կոչ են արել Իրանին և նրա դաշնակիցներին զերծ մնալ հարձակումներից, որոնք կարող են է՛լ ավելի մեծացնել տարածաշրջանային լարվածությունը և վտանգել զինադադարի և պատանդների ազատ արձակման շուրջ համաձայնության գալու հնարավորությունը:
«Իսլամական հանրապետությունը վճռական է տրամադրված ինքնիշխանության և ազգային անվտանգության ապահովման, տարածաշրջանային կայունության խթանման և տարածաշրջանում ահաբեկչության և անկայունության իրական աղբյուրի նկատմամբ զսպման հարցում և որևէ մեկից թույլտվություն չի խնդրի իր իրավունքների իրացման համար», - ընդգծել է Քանանին:
«Եթե այդ երկրներն իսկապես ձգտում են տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության և կայունության, նրանք պետք է առանց որևէ վերապահման հանդես գան իսրայելական ռեժիմի սադրանքների և հակամարտության հրահրման դեմ, անհապաղ ավարտեն Գազայի հատվածի դեմ պատերազմը և վերջ դնեն Պաղեստինի կանանց, երեխաների և անպաշտպան բնակիչների սարսափելի սպանություններին», - հայտարարել Է իրանցի դիվանագետը՝ ընդգծելով, որ եվրոպական եռյակն իր հայտարարությամբ լկտիաբար պահանջում է Իրանից պատասխան միջոցներ չձեռնարկել իր ինքնիշխանությունն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությունը խախտող ռեժիմի դեմ:
