Կուրսկի սահմանամերձ շրջանում Ուկրաինայի Զինված ուժերի ընդհանուր կորուստները կազմել են 1120 զինվորական և 140 միավոր տեխնիկա։ Այս մասին հայտնել են ՌԴ ՊՆ-ից:

Կորցրած տեխնիկայի թվում են 22 տանկ, 20 զրահափոխադրիչ, 8 հետևակի մարտական ​​մեքենա, 88 զրահամեքենա, ինչպես նաև 13 ավտոմեքենա, Buk M1 զենիթահրթիռային համակարգի երկու ինքնագնաց կայանք, BM-ի արձակման կայան, 21 Grad բազմակի արձակման հրթիռային համակարգ և վեց դաշտային հրետանային ատրճանակ:

Ռուսաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հայտնել է, որ օգոստոսի 6-ի առավոտյան ուկրաինացի զինվորականները փորձել են հատել սահմանը և խորանալ Կուրսկի շրջանում: Օգոստոսի 7-ին Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի պետ Վալերի Գերասիմովը հայտնել է, որ ուկրաինական զորքերի առաջխաղացումը ռուսական տարածքի խորքում կասեցվել է։

Օգոստոսի 8-ին ՌԴ պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հայտնել է, որ մարտեր են ընթանում Կուրսկի շրջանի Սուժանսկի և Կորենևսկի շրջաններում։

Հայտնի է դարձել նաև, որ «Վագների» և «Ախմատի» հատուկ նշանակության ջոկատների մարտիկները ժամանել են տարածաշրջան՝ մասնակցելու Ուկրաինայի ԶՈւ դեմ մարտերին։

Տարածաշրջանում իրավիճակը լարված է: Արտակարգ դրություն է մտցվում, սահմանամերձ շրջանների բնակիչները տարհանվում են։
