Блинкен призвал все стороны на Ближнем Востоке сделать шаги для деэскалации

Вашингтонская администрация считает, что всем сторонам на Ближнем Востоке следует принять меры для снижения напряженности. Об этом заявил в понедельник госсекретарь США Энтони Блинкен на встрече с главой МИД Австралии Пенни Вонг в Вашингтоне.
«Мы практически круглосуточно ведем интенсивное дипломатическое взаимодействие, чтобы дать простой сигнал: все стороны должны воздержаться от эскалации. Все стороны должны сделать шаги для снижения напряженности, - сказал он. - Эскалация не отвечает ничьим интересам. Она приведет лишь к новым конфликтам, насилию, отсутствию безопасности».
«Чрезвычайно важно, чтобы мы разорвали этот круг, добившись прекращения огня в Газе. Это в свою очередь даст возможность для установления большей стабильности не только в Газе, но и в других регионах, на которые может распространиться конфликт, - добавил руководитель американского внешнеполитического ведомства. - Этому уделяют основное внимание США и многие другие страны в регионе и за его пределами».
Говоря о возможности прекращения огня в секторе Газа, Блинкен добавил, что «всем сторонам следует найти пути для достижения соглашения». Как он подчеркнул, «важно, чтобы все стороны сделали правильный выбор».
