Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին այսօր նշում է Ս.Անդրե զորավարի, նրա բանակի Կալինիկոսի և Դոմետիոսի վկաների հիշատակության օրը։ Այս մասին տեղեկանում ենք qahana.am կայքից։
Անդրե զորավարը համաքրիստոնեական սուրբ է, ով նահատակության պսակն ընդունեց հանուն քրիստոնեական հավատի տարածման եւ ծաղկման: Նա Կիլիկիայից էր եւ ապրում էր Դիոկղետիանոս կայսեր օրոք: Որպես բարձրաստիճան զինվորական` ծառայում էր Սիրիայի կայսերական բանակում` միաժամանակ լինելով գաղտնի քրիստոնյա: Պարսիկների դեմ պատերազմի ժամանակ, երբ իր սակավաթիվ բանակը (մոտ 600 հոգի) հարկադրված նահանջում էր, քաջարի զորավարը նրանց գոտեպնդում է Հիսուս Քրիստոսի անունով և վերադարձնելով բանակին մարտադաշտ` հաղթական դուրս գալիս պատերազմից: Սրանով ողջ բանակը քրիստոնյա է դառնում: Բանակի ընդհանուր սպարապետը, իմանալով այս մասին, զորք է ուղարկում եւ Տյուրոսի կիրճում նահատակում ամենքին: Կալինիկոսը գաղատացի քրիստոնյա էր և իբրեւ ձեթի վաճառական, տեղից տեղ էր շրջում եւ տարածում քրիստոնեական հավատը: Երբ ձերբակալվեց եւ հրավիրվեց ուրանալու Քրիստոսին, մերժեց և տաժանակիր չարչարանքների ենթարկվելով` նահատակվեց:
Դոմետիոսը տարսոնացի քրիստոնյա ազնվական ընտանիքի զավակ էր, ժամանակակից Դիոկղետիանոս կայսերը: Լինելով բժիշկ, նա շրջում էր զանազան կողմերում և կարոտյալ հիվանդներին բժշկում իր մասնագիտական գիտելիքներով և հավատի զորությամբ: Միաժամանակ սրտապնդում էր հալածանքի ենթարկված քրիստոնյաներին: Շուտով, սակայն, ձերբակալվում է և տարվում Նիկոմեդիա` դատվելու: Հակառակ իր մարտիրոսանալու բուռն փափագի` նա շղթայակապ չարչարանքի տարվելիս մի պահ կանգ է առնում աղոթելու և ավանդում է իր մաքուր եւ բարեսեր հոգին:
