Քամու և արևի էներգիան ԵՄ-ի էներգետիկ բալանսում նոր ռեկորդ է սահմանել՝ կազմելով միության արտադրած ընդհանուր էլեկտրաէներգիայի 30%-ը և առաջին անգամ առաջ անցնելով հանածո վառելիքից:Ember վերլուծական կենտրոնի նոր զեկույցի համաձայն, հանածո վառելիքը 2024 թվականի առաջին կիսամյակում կազմել է ԵՄ ընդհանուր էլեկտրաէներգիայի արտադրության ընդամենը 27%-ը՝ նախորդ տարվա նույն ժամանակահատվածի 33%-ի դիմաց: Զեկույցը ցույց է տալիս անցումն ամբողջ ԵՄ-ում, որտեղ 13 անդամ երկրներ, ներառյալ Գերմանիան, Բելգիան, Հունգարիան, Հունգարիան և Նիդեռլանդները, տարվա առաջին կիսամյակում ավելի շատ էլեկտրաէներգիա են արտադրել քամուց և արևից, քան հանածո վառելիքից:
Զեկույցի համաձայն՝ ԵՄ-ն 2023 թվականի առաջին կիսամյակի համեմատ առաջին կիսամյակում կրճատել է էլեկտրակայաններում ածուխի օգտագործումը 24%-ով, իսկ գազի օգտագործումը՝ 14%-ով։ Ember-ի էներգետիկայի և կլիմայի ավագ վերլուծաբան Քրիս Ռոսլոուն, մեկնաբանելով զեկույցը, ասաց, որ տարվա առաջին կիսամյակը ցույց է տալիս էներգետիկայի ոլորտում հանածո վառելիքի դերի նվազումը և «վերականգնվող էներգիայի աճը, որը գերազանցում է պայմանների ժամանակավոր տատանումները»:
«Մենք տեսնում ենք պատմական տեղաշարժ, և դա արագ է կատարվում։ Եթե անդամ երկրները կարողանան պահպանել քամու և արևային էներգիայի արտադրության աճի տեմպերը, ապա հանածո վառելիքից կախվածությունը արագ կչեզոքացվի»,- նշել է վերլուծաբանը։
