Министр экономики принял постоянного координатора ООН в Армении

Министр экономики Геворг Папоян 2 августа принял постоянного координатора ООН в Армении Франсуазу Жакоб. На встрече присутствовал также заместитель министра Нарек Овакимян. Об этом Новости сообщили в Министерстве экономики РА.

В начале встречи министр поздравил Жакоб с вступлением в должность и пожелал успехов во всех инициативах, направленных на обеспечение стабильного экономического развития Армении.

«Для нас приоритетным является расширение наших программ сотрудничества с соответствующими учреждениями ООН для достижения сокращения бедности, защиты окружающей среды и устойчивого развития», - отметил Геворг Папоян.

Стороны обсудили программы, реализуемые в сфере экономики, продолжение совместных работ, направленных на экономическое развитие, и возможности расширения сотрудничества в торговле, сельском хозяйстве и ряде других сфер.

Были затронуты работы, направленные на обеспечение долгосрочных стабильных условий жизни для удовлетворения потребностей лиц, насильственно перемещенных из Нагорного Карабаха.

Геворг Папоян отметил, что правительство Армении прилагает усилия для преодоления региональных конфликтов и хочет создать новую реальность, в которой все страны будут связаны активными политическими, экономическими и культурными связями. В этом контексте министр представил инициативу правительства «Перекресток мира», которая может стать важной составляющей как регионального, так и более широкого экономического сотрудничества.
