Հանրապետության տարածքում օգոստոսը երկրորդ շոգ ամիսն է, սակայն մի շարք շրջաններում` Գեղարքունիքի հյուսիսային մասում, Արագածոտնի նախալեռներում, բարձր լեռնային շրջաններում օգոստոսին ջերմաստիճանը փոքր ինչ բարձր է հուլիսյան ջերմաստիճանից: Միջին ամսական ջերմաստիճանը հանրապետությունում 15... 16.7°C է, Արարատի, Արմավիրի, Վայոց ձորի նախալեռներում և Սյունիքի հովիտներում` 25…26°C է: Բացարձակ առավելագույն ջերմաստիճանը այստեղ հասնում է 41…43,7°C (43,7°C - 2011թ. Մեղրի): Միջինը 25-26 օր ցերեկային ջերմաստիճանը լինում է 30°C-ից բարձր, նվազագույն ջերմաստիճանը չի իջնում 8…11°C-ից ցածր, մինչև ամառվա վերջը պահպանվում է շոգ և չոր եղանակը: Փոքր ինչ ցածր ջերմաստիճան է գրանցվում Տավուշում, Արագածոտնի նախալեռնային շրջաններում (միջինը` 18...21°C, առավելագույնը` 37...39°C): Հարմարավետ պայմաններ են դիտվում Լոռիում, լեռնային շրջաններում և Սյունիքի նախալեռներում (միջին ջերմաստիճանը` 15…18°C), իսկ oգոստոսի երկրորդ տասնօրյակում միջին օրական ջերմաստիճանը իջնում է մինչև 15°C, որը նշանակում է ամռան ավարտ և աշնան սկիզբ, այստեղ բացարձակ նվազագույն ջերմաստիճանը 1941թ. իջել է մինչև -2…-3°C:

Ամենաշոգ օգոստոսներ դիտվել են 1949, 1962, 1980, 1989, 2000, 2011, 2015, 2017թթ, երբ օդի ամսական միջին ջերմաստիճանը բարձր է եղել նորմայից 2-3 աստիճանով:

Ամենահով օգոստոսներ դիտվել են 1946, 1967, 1969, 1995, 2009թթ, երբ ամսական միջին ջերմաստիճանը ցածր է եղել նորմայից 2-3 աստիճանով:

Օդի հարաբերական խոնավությունը հանրապետության տարածքում` միջինը կազմում է 70-75%, այն բավական ցածր է Արարատի, Արմավիրի և Վայոց ձորի մարզերում` 42-43%: Ինչպես և հուլիսին, կարող են դիտվել խորշակներ, որոնց հաճախականությունը ավելանում է` պայմանավորված խոնավության պակասորդի մեծացմամբ և քամու արագության ուժեղացմամբ:

Հանրապետության տարածքում օգոստոսին տեղումների քանակը միջինը կազմում է 34մմ, այսինքն, տարեկան տեղումների 5%: Տեղումները բաշխվում են շատ անհավասարաչափ:

Առավելագույն քանակը դիտվում է Լոռիում, Տավուշում` 40-60մմ, նվազագույնը` Արարատի, Արմավիրի մարզերում` 6-11մմ: Տարիների 20%-ի ընթացքում Արարատյան դաշտում և Երևանում տեղումներ չեն դիտվել, բայց եղել են տարիներ, երբ այստեղ դրանց քանակը մի քանի անգամ գերազանցել է նորման:

Տեղումներով օրերի թիվը ևս բավականին անհամաչափ է բաշխված, հանրապետության տարածքում` 7-11 օր, Արարատի, Արմավիրի մարզերում, Վայոց ձորում` 1-4 օր:

Ամպրոպային գործունեությունը հանրապետության հյուսիսային կեսում հաճախակի է՝ միջինը 7-10 օր, առավելագույն` 15-21օր, մնացած շրջաններում որոշակիորեն պակասում է, միջինը 3-4 օր:

Կարկուտ դիտվում է ոչ ամեն տարի, առանձին տարիներ 4-5 օր կարող է դիտվել կարկուտ
