«Գեղարդ» հիմնադրամն անդրադարձել է Վատիկանի պաշտոնաթերթում հրապարակված հոդվածին, որում հայկական ժառանգության կարևորագույն հուշարձանները՝ Դադիվանքը, Գանձասարը և Խաթրավանքը ներկայացվում են որպես աղվանական ժառանգություն:

Հայտարարությունը ներկայացնում ենք ստորև.

«Վատիկանի “L'Osservatore Romano” պաշտոնաթերթը վերջերս հրապարակեց մի հոդված՝ "A Khudavang, Ganjasar e Khatiravang Monasteri tra le nuvole" վերնագրով («Դադիվանքը, Գանձասարը և Խաթրավանքը ամպերի մեջ»), որտեղ հայկական ժառանգության կարևորագույն հուշարձանները՝ Դադիվանքը, Գանձասարը և Խաթրավանքը, ներկայացվում են որպես աղվանական ժառանգություն։ Նյութի հեղինակը Ռոսելլա Ֆաբիանին է, որը հոդվածում խոսում է Ադրբեջան կատարած իր այցելությունների մասին և նշում, որ այցելել է «Garabagh» (ընդգծումը՝ հոդվածից), ծանոթացել աղվանական ժառանգության նշանավոր վանքերին։ 

Հարկ է նշել, որ հոդվածը զուրկ է գիտական հիմքից և հակասում է գիտականության չափանիշներին՝ հիմնված լինելով միայն հեղինակի դիտարկումների և տպավորությունների վրա։ Անգամ հոդվածի վերնագրում հայկական հուշարձանների ադրբեջանականացված անվանումների օգտագործումը ցուցում է, որ ադրբեջանական պետական քարոզչությունը տեղ է գտել նաև Վատիկանի պաշտոնաթերթում։  

Ադրբեջանի կողմից հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության «աղվանացման» թեզի մասին բազմիցս ներկայացվել է «Գեղարդ» հիմնադրամի ակադեմիական հարթակում։ Պետք է նշենք, որ հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության բռնայուրացման այս մեխանիզմը միջազգային նոր հարթակներ է գրավում, ինչի հիմքում, բնականաբար, Ադրբեջանի հարուստ նավթարդյունաբերությունն ու պետության կողմից հսկայական գումարների ներդրումն է՝ միջազգային կառույցների և կազմակերպությունների գործունեության մեջ։ Ադրբեջանը պատմակեղծարարությունը դարձրել է ոչ միայն պետական քաղաքականություն, այլև միջազգային հարթակներից հնչող տեսություն։ Բաքուն մի կողմից իբրև թե կերտում է իր «բազմամշակութային և ժողովրդավար» կերպարը, մյուս կողմից «միջազգայնացնում» է հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության բռնայուրացման մեխանիզմները։ Ընդամենն ամիսներ առաջ այսպես կոչված «աղվանական ժառանգության» ֆոտոցուցահանդես կազմակերպվեց Լեհաստանում, որտեղ կրկին Ադրբեջանի դեսպանատունն ուներ իր ակտիվ ներգործությունը։ Այս ամբողջը վտանգավոր հող է պատրաստում հայկական ժառանգության ինքնության խեղաթյուրման, պատմական փաստերի կեղծման և միջազգային հարթակների միջոցով այդ թեզերի տարածման համար։

«Գեղարդ» հիմնադրամը դատապարտում է ալիևյան բռնապետական ռեժիմի՝ հնարավոր բոլոր միջոցներով հայկական մշակութային ժառանգության բռնայուրացման քաղաքականությունը և կոչ է անում միջազգային հեղինակավոր գիտական կազմակերպություններին ու կառույցներին, ԶԼՄ-ներին տուրք չտալ ադրբեջանական պետական հակահայկական քարոզչությանը»։
