Հայաստանի ժողովրդագրական իրավիճակը շարունակում է ծայրահեղ մտահոգիչ մնալ։ Մինչ գործող իշխանությունները հռչակել են մինչև 2050 թ. 5 միլիոն դառնալու իրենց պատկերացումը, իրականում որևէ քայլ չեն կատարում ՀՀ ժողովրդագրական իրավիճակը շտկելու համար։ Վերջին 30 տարվա ընթացքում Հայաստանի մշտական բնակչությունը 3,6 մլն-ից նվազել է մինչև 3 միլիոն մարդ։ Ընդորում քաղաքների բնակչությունը գերազանցում է 1,9 մլն-ը, որից 1,1 մլն ապրում է մայրաքաղաքում։

Իշխանությունը հայտարարում է, որ երկրի բնակչությունը վերջին 2 տարում աճել է 200 հազար մարդով։ Սակայն այդ աճը ձևավորվել է հատուկ ռազմական գործողության մեկնարկից հետո Հայաստան տեղափոխված վերաբնակիչների, ինչպես նաև Արցախը հանձնելուց հետո նրա գրեթե բոլոր բնակիչների տեղահանման հաշվին։ Դրա հետ մեկտեղ ծնելիությունը կայուն նվազման միտում ունի։ Գնալով նվազում է նաև ամուսնությունների, ավելանում՝ ամուսնալուծությունների թիվը։ Ցավոք, ՄԱԿ-ի տվյալներով, վերջին երկու տարվա ընթացքում Հայաստանում ավելացել են մանկական և մայրական մահացության ցուցանիշները՝ 104-րդ տեղից (բարեկեցիկ երկրների մակարդակ) իջնելով 108-րդ տեղ։ Հիմնական պատճառը պետական բժշկության անբավարար մակարդակն է, քաղաքացիների ցածր բարեկեցությունն ու կենցաղային անկայունությունը, արտագաղթը։ Այս իրավիճակը բերելու է նրան, որ ևս 30 տարի հետո Հայաստանի բնակչությունը չի գերազանցի 2,5 մլն մարդը։

Ժողովրդագրական վիճակը խնդիր է ոչ միայն Հայաստանի համար։ ՌԴ նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը Նոր մեդիաների փառատոնի մասնակիցների հետ հանդիպմանը հայտարարել է, թե Ռուսաստանում ծնելիության ցածր մակարդակի վրա է՝ 1,4, այս ցուցանիշը «աղետալի» է ազգի ապագայի համար։ «Մենք ապրում ենք աշխարհի ամենամեծ երկրում։ Սակայն տարեցտարի մեր թիվը նվազում է։ Իսկ դա կարելի է լուծել միայն ծնելիության միջին մակարդակի բարձրացմամբ»,- ասել է նա: Ըստ Ռոսստատի տվյալների՝ 2023 թվականին Ռուսաստանի բնակչությունը նվազել է 244 հազար մարդով և կազմել 146,2 միլիոն:

«Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժման առաջնորդ, պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար, գեներալ-մայոր Արշակ Կարապետյանի կարծիքով, ժողովրդագրական վիճակն անմիջականորեն ազդել է 44-օրյա պատերազմի հետևանքների վրա։ Ըստ գեներալ-մայորի, 90-ականներին Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ժողովրդագրական ցուցանիշները քիչ թե շատ համեմատելի էին։ Մեր բնակչության թիվը մոտենում էր 4 միլիոնին, իսկ նրանք մոտ 6 միլիոն էին: 30 տարի անց Հայաստանում մնացել է չորս անգամ պակաս մարդ, իսկ Ադրբեջանում բնակչությունը հասել է 10 մլն-ի։ «Երկիրը պետք է ամուր հիմքեր ստեղծի երջանիկ և բարեկեցիկ մայրության համար, գիտության, մշակույթի և արվեստի բնագավառներում կանանց ստեղծագործական զարգացման համար: Դրան կարող է նպաստել նախածննդյան և հետծննդյան արձակուրդի տևողության ավելացումը, վերարտադրողական և ծննդօգնական մասնագիտացված կենտրոնների ցանցի զարգացումը: Անհրաժեշտ է անհապաղ միջոցներ ձեռնարկել մանկական և մայրական մահացությունը նվազեցնելու համար»,- նշել էր «Համահայկական ճակատ» շարժման առաջնորդ Արշակ Կարապետյանը։
