Այսօր հայ ծանրորդ Հռիփսիմե Խուրշուդյանի ծննդյան օրն է:
Հռիփսիմե Խուրշուդյանը կանանց 75 կգ-ից բարձր քաշային կարգում մասնակցել է 2012 թվականի Լոնդոնի Օլիմպիական խաղերին և նվաճել բրոնզե մեդալ՝ հետ մնալով Տատյանա Կաշիրինայից և Ժու Լուլուից։ Հռիփսիմեն պոկում վարժությունն ավարտել է 128 կգ ցուցանիշով, իսկ հրմամբ բարձրացրեց 166 կգ՝ արդյունքում հավաքելով 294 կգ, ինչը 39 կգ-ով քիչ էր հաղթողի՝ Ժու Լուլուի արդյունքից։
2014 թվականին ծանրորդուհին մասնակցում է ծանրամարտի եվրոպայի առաջնությանը և զբաղեցնում 5-րդ հորիզոնականը (102+130): Նույն տարվա ընթացքում մասնակցում է Ղազախստանի Ալմաթիում կայանելիք աշխարհի առաջնությանը և գրավում է 15-րդ հորիզոնականը (107+136): Խուրշուդյանը 2015 թվականն սկսում է եվրոպայի առաջնությամբ և գրավում է 4-րդ հորիզոնականը (113+141) և տարին ավարտում է ԱՄՆ-ում ընթացող աշխարհի առաջնությամբ՝ զբաղեցնելով 14-րդ հորիզոնականը (115+145): 2016 թվականի ապրիլի 16-ին Նորվեգիայի Ֆյորդե քաղաքում ընթացող ծանրամարտի Եվրոպայի առաջնության կանանց +75 կիլոգրամ քաշային կարգի «A» ենթախմբում նվաճել է Եվրոպայի չեմպիոնի կոչումը՝ ցույց տալով երկամարտի ընդհանուր 250 կիլոգրամ (113+137) արդյունք:
2016 թվականի դոպինգ թեստի վերստուգման արդյունքում հայտնաբերվել է մի քանի արգելված խթանիչներ։ Այդ պատճառով օլիմպիական կոմիտեն հայտարարություն է տարածել որում նշվում է, որ ՀԱՕԿ-ը պետք է վերադարձնի Հռիփսիմե Խուրշուդյանի օլիմպիական խաղերի բրոնզե մեդալը։
