2-րդ կորպուսի նախկին հրամանատար, գեներալ-մայոր Արայիկ Հարությունյանը կալանավայրից հայտարարություն է տարածել: Հայտարարությունը ներկայացնում ենք ստորև:
Արդեն տևական ժամանակ է շինծու եւ ապօրինի մեղադրանքով ես գտնվում եմ անազատության մեջ։ Դատական քննության մեկ տարվա ընթացքում ես գրեթե հանդես չեմ եկել հրապարակային հայտարարություններով՝ հուսալով, որ ամեն դեպքում ընաթացող դատաքննությունը լույս կսփռի իրականության վրա։ Սակայն այն, ինչ տեղի է ունենում դատական նիստերի դահլիճում, ի ցույց է դնում, որ դատավարության շղարշի տակ ընթացող գործընթացի նպատակը մեկն է՝ ամեն գնով ինձ պահել անազատության մեջ եւ վերջում հաստատել ինձ ներկայացված անհիմն մեղադրանքը, որն արդեն իսկ ամբողջությամբ փլուզվել է դատարանում։
Ասվածի ապացույցն է այն, որ երկու անգամ առաջին ատյանի դատարանի երկու տարբեր դատարաններ փոփոխեցին իմ նկատմամբ կիրառված կալանավորումը եւ կիրառեցին այլընտրանքային խափանման միջոցներ, սակայն Վերաքննիչ քրեական դատարանը օրենքի կոպտագույն խախտումով կրկին ինձ կալանավորեց։ Գեղարքունիքի մարզի ընդհանուր իրավասությանն ինձ անազատության մեջ պահելը պայմանավորում է նրանով, որ մեղադրանքի կողմի վկաները դեռեւս չեն հարցաքննվել,սակայ հուլիսի 24-ի դատական նիստին,երբ ներկայացել էին վերջին երեք վկաները, հանրային մեղադրողը, պատճառաբանելով, թե պետք է մասնակցի ինչ-որ քննարկման, միջնորդեց հետաձգել դատական նիստը, իսկ դատարանը, առանց հաշվի առնելու, որ վկաները ներկայացել են դատարան, իսկ ինձ շարունակական կալանքի տակ պահելը պայմանավորված է միայն նրանց հարցաքննությամբ, ընդառաջ գնաց հանրային մեղադրողին եւ հետաձգեց դատական նիստը։ Այս ամենը այլ բան չի թողնում մտածելու, որ նման ապօրինություններն արվում են բացառապես ինձ անազատության մեջ պահելու համար։
