Եվրոպական խաղաղության հիմնադրամից Հայաստանին հատկացված 10 մլն եվրո օգնությունը տասնապատիկ ավելի վնաս է հասցնելու Հայաստանի և ՀԱՊԿ-ի գծով իր դաշնակիցների միջև հարաբերություններին։ Միջազգային կառույցներից, եվրոպական երկրներից Հայաստանը բազմիցս է գումարներ ստացել տնտեսական, սոցիալական կամ այլ կարիքների համար։ Խաղաղության հիմնադրամի տրամադրելիք գումարը թեև փոքր է, բայց բոլորովին այլ բանի մասին է, ինչը բնականաբար  պետք է արժանանար ռուսական կողմի վրդովմունքին։

Ռուսաստանի ԱԳՆ մամուլի քարտուղար Մարիա Զախարովան երեկ հայտնել է, թե Հայաստանին ռազմական օգնության համար 10 մլն եվրո հատկացնելու Եվրամիության ծրագրերը թելադրված են աշխարհաքաղաքական հաշվարկներով՝ ուղղված Անդրկովկասում սեփական կործանարար ազդեցությունը տարածելուն։

Ռուսաստանի ԱԳՆ ներկայացուցչի խոսքով` արևմտյան արշավն ուղղված է առճակատման պարտադրմանը և հետխորհրդային տարածքն աշխարհաքաղաքական առճակատման ասպարեզի վերածելուն։ Ըստ նրա` Բաքվի և Երևանի միջև հակասությունների սրումը ծառայում է Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությանը և այլ անկախ երկրներին զսպելուն։ Նա ընդգծել է, որ սեփական պաշտպանական քաղաքականություն կառուցելն ինքնիշխան պետության գործն է, և ստեղծված իրավիճակը չի կարող չանհանգստացնել Մոսկվային։

Եվրամիության օգնությանն անդրադարձել են նաև Կրեմլից։ Պուտինի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը նշել է, թե Կրեմլում հարգանքով են վերաբերվում Եվրամիության հետ Հայաստանի համագործակցության ընդլայնմանը, բայց հույս ունեն, որ այն չի վնասի Մոսկվայի հետ Երևանի հարաբերությունների զարգացմանը։  «Չէինք ցանկանա, որ այդ որոնումներն իրականացվեն այն կերպ, ինչպես ժամանակին արել էր Կիևի ռեժիմը, այսինքն՝ «կամ–կամ»,– սկզբունքով։ Քաղաքական տեսլականի այլընտրանքի բացակայությունն այն չէ, ինչ մենք կցանկանայինք տեսնել»,– բացահայտ սպառնացել է Պեսկովը։

Երևանին վաղուց են զգուշացնում, որ կարող է կրկնել Ուկրաինայի ճակատագիրը՝ ՌԴ հետ հարաբերությունները շարունակաբար փչացնելու դեպքում։ Փաշինյանի իշխանությունը, սակայն, կանգ առնել մտադիր չէ։
