Բայդենը ուղերձով դիմել է ամերիկացիներին՝ բացատրելով նախագահական մրցապայքարից դուրս գալու որոշման պատճառը. ինչ է նա ասել

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը հայտարարել է, որ որոշել է դուրս գալ նախագահական մրցապայքարից՝ երիտասարդ սերնդին էստաֆետը փոխանցելու համար՝ հանուն ժողովրդավարության բարօրության։

Հուլիսի 24-ի երեկոյան նա այսպիսի տողերով դիմել է ժողովրդին Սպիտակ տան Օվալաձև գրասենյակից։

«Ես որոշեցի, որ առաջ գնալու լավագույն միջոցը էստաֆետը նոր սերնդին փոխանցելն է։ Սա մեր ազգը համախմբելու լավագույն միջոցն է»,-CNN-ի փոխանցմամբ՝  ասել է նա:

Ըստ Բայդենի՝ որպես նախագահ ունեցած իր ձեռքբերումները և Միացյալ Նահանգների ապագայի տեսլականը «արժանի էին երկրորդ ժամկետի»: Բայց անձնական հավակնությունները չեն կարող խանգարել «ժողովրդավարության պահպանմանը»։

Իր ձեռքբերումների թվում Բայդենը ներառել է ԱՄՆ-ում «աշխարհի ամենաուժեղ տնտեսության» ստեղծումը, աշխատավարձերի բարձրացումը, գնաճի նվազումը և ռասսայական անհավասարության ամենացածր մակարդակը վերջին 20 տարում։

Բայդենը, բնականաբար, կշարունակի պաշտոնավարել իր նախագահության մնացած վեց ամիսների ընթացքում։ Մասնավորապես, խոսելով այդ ամիսների մասին, Բայդենը նշել է, որ  մտադիր է հետագայում զարգացնել տնտեսությունը, պաշտպանել ամերիկացիների անձնական ազատություններն ու քաղաքացիական իրավունքները, ինչպես նաև աշխատել Գազայի հատվածում իրավիճակի կարգավորման ուղղությամբ, շարունակել աջակցությունն Ուկրաինային և ՆԱՏՕ-ն դարձնել «ավելի ուժեղ, ավելի հզոր և ավելի միասնական, քան երբևէ»: »

Բայդենը նշել է, որ ամերիկացիները կանգնած են զգալի տարբերվող 2 ընտրության առաջ՝ «առաջ գնալու և հետ գնալու, հույսի և ատելության, միասնության և բաժանման միջև» և կոչ է արել ԱՄՆ քաղաքացիներին միավորվել: Բայդենը փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարրիսին, ում առաջադրումը որպես նախագահի դեմոկրատ թեկնածու հայտնի էր դարձել հուլիսի 21-ին, անվանել է «փորձառու, կոշտ և ընդունակ»:

Հուլիսի 21-ին Բայդենը հայտարարեց, որ դուրս է գալիս ընտրապայքարից։

Նոյեմբերին ԱՄՆ նախագահական ընտրություններում ԱՄՆ նախկին նախագահ և հանրապետական թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփի դեմ պայքարում նա աջակցելու է Հարրիսին՝ որպես դեմոկրատների միասնական թեկնածու։

Մեկնաբանելով Բայդենի հայտարարությունը, Թրամփը նրան անվանել է ԱՄՆ պատմության ամենավատ նախագահը և կարծիք հայտնել, որ իր համար շատ ավելի հեշտ կլինի հաղթել Հարրիսին, քան երկրի ներկայիս ղեկավարին։

ԱՄՆ նախագահական ընտրությունները տեղի կունենան 2024 թվականի նոյեմբերի 5-ին։

Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության համագումարը, որին կուսակցությունը կհաստատի Հարրիսի թեկնածությունը, տեղի կունենա օգոստոսին։
