ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերրին այսօր՝ հունվարի 23-ին, Էր Ռիադում հանդիպել է Սաուդյան Արաբիայի թագավոր Սալման բեն Աբդել Ազիզ ալ Սաուդի հետ:
Հանդիպման ժամանակ կողմերը քննարկելի են տարածաշրջանում տիրող իրավիճակը՝ հատուկ ուշադրություն դարձնելով Սիրիայում տեղի ունեցող իրադարձությունների զարգացմանը եւ «իրանի կողմից այլ պետությունների ներքին գործերին միջամտելուն» պատասխան տալու կարեւորությունը: Այս մասին նշում է սաուդյան SPA գործակալությունը:
Նշվում է, որ հանդիպմանը ներկա են եղել Սաուդյան Արաբիայի պաշտպանության նախարար, արքայազն Մուհամեդ բեն Սալմանը, ԱԳ նախարար Ադիլ ալ Ջուբեյրը, մշակույթի եւ տեղեկատվության նախարար Ադիլ աթ Թուրայֆին եւ այլ բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ:
Ավելի վաղ Ջոն Քերրին եւ Սաուդյան Արաբիայի ԱԳ նախարար Ադիլ ալ Ջուբեյրը քննարկել են սիրիական եւ եմենյան ճգնաժամերը, ինչպես նաեւ Ժնեւում սիրիական հակամարտության կարգավորման բանակցությունների նախապատրաստությունը, հաղորդում է «ՌԻԱ նովոստին»:
