Այսպես կոչված «Ժողովրդավարական ուժերի հարթակը», որը երեկ Հյուսիսային պողոտայում հայտարարում էր, թե ստորագրահավաք է նախաձեռնելու՝ ԵՄ անդամակցության հարցը հանրաքվեի դնելու համար, արդեն իսկ ճաքեր է տալիս։

Ուղիղ եթերում ցուցադրված միջոցառմանը մասնակցել են քաղհասարակության ներկայացուցիչներ և հարթակին մաս կազմող չորս կուսակցություններից միայն երեքը՝ իրենց ղեկավարների գլխավորությամբ։ Քրիստոնեա-ժողովրդավարական Վերածնունդ կուսակցությունը՝ տխրահռչակ քաղաքագետ Լևոն Շիրինյանի գլխավորությամբ, չի մասնակցել՝ պատճառաբանելով, թե դեմ են ստորագրահավաքի գաղափարին։ Միավորման մեր աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ, իրականում խնդիրը զուտ մերկանտիլ է. Շիրինյանն ինքն է վերջին նիստերից մեկում հայտարարել, թե իրեն և իր կուսակցությանը Փաշինյանը լուրջ առաջարկներ է արել, չի բացառվում, որ համագործակցեն գործող վարչախմբի հետ, ուստի նպատակահարմար չեն համարում մաս կազմել «Ժողովրդավարական ուժերի հարթակին»։

Որ գործող իշխանությունները չեն ցանկանում ԵՄ անդամակցության հարցը թողնել իրենց իսկ հաստիքային արևմտամետների հույսին, պարզից էլ պարզ է։ «Քաղպայմանագիրը» գիտակցում է, որ արևմտամետներն օգտագործելու են պոպուլիստական նարատիվներն ու ՌԴ՝ նվազող վարկանիշը Հայաստանում, և կարող են անգամ խլել իրենցից իշխանությունը։ Ուստի ՔՊ-ն փորձում է առժամանակ քնեցնել ԵՄ անդամակցության թեման, ապա ինչ-որ պահի ինքն առաջ բերել այն, օգտագործել սեփական վարկանիշի բարձրացման համար։ Ստորագրահավաքի նախաձեռնությունն այդ իմաստով կենտրոնախույս քայլ է և համաձայենցված չի եղել ՔՊ-ի հետ։

«Հանրապետություն» կուսակցության նախագահ Արամ Սարգսյանը նախօրեին տեղեկացրել է, որ «Ժողովրդավարական ուժերի հարթակը» ԵՄ-ին Հայաստանի անդամակցության հայտ ներկայացնելու հարցով հանդիպել է Անվտանգության խորհրդի քարտուղար Արմեն Գրիգորյանի հետ, և հանդիպումը բավականին բարդ է անցել։
