Հայաստանն ու Ադրբեջանը շարունակում են զգալի առաջընթաց գրանցել խաղաղության պայմանագրի ուղղությամբ, ճեպազրույցի ժամանակ հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարության խոսնակ Մեթյու Միլլերը։ «Մենք հանձնառու ենք աջակցել այս գործընթացին: Ինչպես ասել ենք, սա խաղաղության ժամանակն է, և մենք շարունակում ենք աշխատել համաձայնության հասնելու ուղղությամբ», - հավելել է Պետքարտուղարության ներկայացուցիչը։

Ուշագրավ է, որ ուղիղ մեկ շաբաթ առաջ նույն Միլլերը, հայտարարելով, թե Վաշինգտոնը չի հանգստանա մինչև համաձայնություն չլինի, նշել էր, թե գործարքը հնարավոր է, բայց այն կողմերից պահանջում է որոշ բարդ ընտրություններ և ծանր փոխզիջումներ: «Վաշինգտոնը կշարունակի կողմերին մղել դեպի վերջնական համաձայնության հաստատում և տարաձայնությունների հարթեցում», - ասել էր Միլլերը։

Պետդեպն այդպես էլ չի պարզաբանել, թե ինչ նկատի ունի «բարդ ընտրություններ և ծանր փոխզիջումներ» ասելով, բայց վերլուծաբանները վստահ էին, որ դա պահանջ էր Հայաստանից՝ գնալ միակողմանի զիջումների։ ԱՄՆ-ն շտապում է՝ հարցը լուծել մինչև նոյեմբերյան ընտրություններ, այլապես Դոնալդ Թրամփի ընտրվելուց, ԱՄՆ-ի մեկուսացման քաղաքականություն որդեգրելուց հետո Վաշինգտոնի ազդեցությունը Հարավային Կովկասում էականորեն նվազելու է՝ դրանից բխող բոլոր հետևանքներով։

Նախօրեին նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը հայտարարել է ընտրապայքարը լքելու մասին՝ աջակցելով փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսի թեկնածությանը։ Հարիսի առաջադրումը հույս է արթնացրել դեմոկրատների շրջանում, թե հնարավոր կլինի պայքարել Դոնալդ Թրամփի դեմ, անգամ հաղթանակ տանել։ Ի տարբերություն Թրամփի, որն առնանձապես հայկական հարցերով երբեք չի զբաղվել, Հարիսը եղել է գլխավոր դատախազ, ապա սենատոր հայաշատ Կալիֆոռնիա նահանգում, լուրջ կապեր ունի հայկական լոբբիստական շրջանակների հետ։ Մեծ հաշվով, Հայաստանին ավելի ձեռնտու է հենց Քամալա Հարիսի ընտրությունը։ Թերևս, Սպիտակ տանը նոր հույսեր են արթնացել, և Հայաստանից առժամանակ բարդ ընտրություններ և ծանր փոխզիջումներ չեն պահանջում։
