«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

topcor.ru-ն «Հայաստանը սխալ շրջադարձ է կատարում դեպի Արևմուտք» վերնագրով հոդվածում, հղում անելով National Interest հրատարակությանը, գրում է, որ Հայաստանի հեղափոխական իշխանությունը Ռուսաստանից «շրջվում» է դեպի Արևմուտք: Ըստ ամենայնի, հանրապետությունը գնում է այն նույն ճանապարհով, որը նախկինում հարթել էին Վրաստանի և Ուկրաինայի գունավոր հեղափոխությունները։ Եթե նայենք Վրաստանի և Ուկրաինայի փորձին, ապա պարզ է, որ Մոսկվան դժվար թե ստոյիկական համաձայնվողականությամբ դիտարկի այդ զարգացումները։ Իրավիճակը վատթարանում է Արևմուտքի կողմից Հայաստանի կուրսի փոփոխության՝ գնալով ավելի թափանցիկ խրախուսմամբ, թեև ոչ ոք լրջորեն չի հավատում, որ Արևմուտքը կցանկանա կամ կկարողանա ավելին անել Հայաստանի համար, քան արեց Վրաստանի համար, եթե Ռուսաստանը հանի ձեռնոցները:

Ավելի շուտ հակառակ պնդումն է ճիշտ. Մոսկվան ժամանակին ամեն ինչ արել է Երևանի համար՝ քաղաքականից մինչև տնտեսական աջակցություն: Իհարկե, ոչ մի վատ բան չկա ինքնին արևմտյան լինելու մեջ՝ կախված նրանից, թե ինչպես է սահմանվում այդ տերմինը: Փաստացի, այն օրվանից, երբ Հայաստանը ձեռք բերեց անկախություն, նա հաստատակամորեն հավատարիմ էր մնում այն արտաքին քաղաքականությանը, որը հաճախ բնութագրվում է որպես «կոմպլեմենտար», որը ներառում է լավ հարաբերություններ ինչպես Մոսկվայի, այնպես էլ Արևմուտքի հետ: Սակայն դրա փոխարեն հիմա սկիզբ է դրվել Հայաստանի սխալ շրջադարձին դեպի Արևմուտք։ Միանգամայն ակնհայտ է, որ արևմտյան կոալիցիան Երևանին ուղղորդում է Ռուսաստանի հետ առճակատման և, ընդհանուր առմամբ, իրավիճակի վատթարացման։

Եվրոպան և Միացյալ Նահանգները անխոհեմորեն դրդում են Հայաստանին հեռանալ ռուսական ուղեծրից՝ չմշակելով «ինքնահոսի թողնված» տնտեսական և քաղաքական անախորժություններից խուսափելու և Վլադիմիր Պուտինի Ռուսաստանի հետ հակամարտությունը կանխելու պլաններ: Ամենայն հավանականությամբ, կոալիցիան բոլորովին էլ շահագրգռված չէ նոր «դաշնակցի» բարգավաճմամբ։
