Հայաստանում գործող վարչախումբը հաճախորդների պակաս երբեք էլ չի ունեցել։ Այդ հաճախորդները, որոնք ավանդաբար հանդես են գալիս ընդդիմադրի քողածածկույթի ներքո, օգնում են Փաշինյանին պահպանել իշխանությունը, ցեխարձակումներ են իրականացնում իրական ընդդիմադիր ուժերի վրա, նաև հաճույքով տարածում են արևմտյան, հաճախ ականջահաճո նարատիվները՝ շեղելով հանրության ուշադրությունը։

Արևմտամետ չորս կուսակցություններ շաբաթներ առաջ միավորվել էին, հարթակ էին ստեղծել՝ կոչ անելով ԵՄ-ին անդամակցելու հանրաքվե անցկացնել։ Գործող վարչախումբն էլ ընդմիջում էր վերցրել՝ հայտարարելով, թե դրա ժամանակը չէ։ Պարզվում է՝ ըստ այդ ուժերի, լավ էլ ժամանակն է։ Այսօր Ժողովրդավարական ուժերի հարթակը և նրանց միացած քաղհասարակության մի խոշոր զանգված հայտարարել է, թե նախաձեռնում է ԵՄ-ին Հայաստանի անդամակցության հանրաքվեի վերաբերյալ համապետական ստորագրահավաք անցկացնելու գործընթաց։

«Հանրապետություն» կուսակցության նախագահ Արամ Սարգսյանը նշել է, թե իրենց հիմնական արգումենտը ժողովրդի քվեն է՝ 50 հազար ստորագրություն հավաքելը և ներկայացնելն Ազգային ժողովին։ Ի դեպ, օրն էլ պատահաբար չէին ընտրել. ԵՄ խորհրդի՝ արտաքին գործերի նախարարներն այսօր են համաձայնություն տվել Եվրոպական խաղաղության գործիքի ներքո Հայաստանին աջակցության տրամադրման և վիզայի ազատականացման երկխոսության մեկնարկի վերաբերյալ։

Օգտագործելով այս և մի շարք այլ պոպուլիստական քայլերը՝ հաստիքային արևմտամետները փորձելու են իրենց կողմը քաշել ընդդիմադիր ընտրազանգվածին՝ այն Փաշինյանի հետագա պաշտոնավարման համար օգտագործելու, նրա թիկունքը պաշտպանելու համար։ ՔՊ մեր աղբյուրների փոխանցմամբ, այս ողջ գործընթացի թիկունքում արևմտյան կառույցներն ու ՔՊ վերնախավն է։ Իսկ խորհրդարանական ընդդիմությունն ու մյուս ընդդիմադիրները դեռ հանգստանում են, ամառն են վայելում։
