Բայդենը հեռացավ. ո՞վ կլինի դեմոկրատների թեկնածուն

Ուղիղ եթերում խայտառակ բանավեճից, շաբաթներ տևած քննարկումներից հետո ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը հայտարարել է ԱՄՆ նախագահական ընտրապայքարից դուրս գալու մասին։ Ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում Բայդենը մեկ այլ գրառում էլ է արել, որպես թեկնածու աջակցություն հայտնելով փոխնախագահ Քամալա Հարիսին։
«Որպես կուսակցության թեկնածու 2020 թվականին իմ առաջին որոշումն էր ընտրել Քամալա Հարիսին՝ որպես իմ փոխնախագահ: Եվ դա իմ կայացրած լավագույն որոշումն էր: Այսօր ես ուզում եմ իմ ամբողջական աջակցությունն ու հավանությունը հայտնել Քամալայի թեկնածությանը՝ որպես մեր կուսակցության այս տարվա թեկնածու: Դեմոկրատնե՛ր, ժամանակն է միավորվել և հաղթել Թրամփին։ Եկե՛ք անենք դա», - գրել է նա։
Հանրապետական թեկնածուի դեմ բանավեճերում գործող նախագահն իրեն չափազանց վատ էր ներկայացրել, կմկմացել, կորցրել մտքի թելը։ Դրանից հետո անգամ ազդեցիկ դեմոկրատները կոչ էին անում լքել ընտրապայքարը, կուսակցությանը հնարավորություն տալ ավելի երիտասարդ ու եռանդուն թեկնածուով գնալ ընտրություններին։
Բայդենի ընտանիքն ու մի շարք կողմնակիցներ պնդում էին, որ հենց նա պետք է շարունակի ընտրարշավը։ Տպավորություն էր, թե ծեր, ոչինչ չհասկացող ու գրեթե մահամերձ մարդուն քաշքշում են՝ իրենց քաղաքական նպատակների համար։ Ի վերջո, հաջողվել է փոխել թեկնածուին։ Բայդենի աջակցությունն ամենևին չի նշանակում, թե Քամալա Հարիսն ինքնստինքյան կդառնա դեմոկրատների թեկնածուն։ Շատերը պնդում են, որ նոր թեկնածուի հարցը պետք է կայացնել համագումարում, որտեղ էլ հնարավոր ամենառեյտինգային գործչիը պետք է գտնել։
Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունն իր համագումարը կանցկացնի օգոստոսի 19-22-ը Իլինոյս նահանգի Չիկագո քաղաքում: Այդ օրն էլ պարզ կլինի՝ ով կդառնա դեմոկրատների թեկնածուն, և կկարողանա արդյոք պայքարել Դոնալդ Թրամփի դեմ։
