Լոնդոնում ավարտվում են Եվրոպական քաղաքական համայնքի գագաթնաժողովի աշխատանքները, Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ղեկավարները չեն հանդիպի։

Հիշեցնենք, ադրբեջանական կողմը Հայաստանին էր մեղադրում բրիտանական վարչապետի միջնորդությամբ հանդիպմանը չմասնակցելու, բանակցային գործընթացում հետքայլի համար։ ՀՀ ԱԳՆ-ից էլ հայտնել էին, թե Ադրբեջանն է հրաժարվել երկկողմ հանդիպումից՝ վերահաստատելով հանդիպման պատրաստակամությունը։ Ամեն դեպքում, Լոնդոնում երկրների ղեկավարները չեն հանդիպել։

ՔՊ մեր աղբյուրի փոխանցմամբ, Փաշինյանը հրաժարվել է բրիտանական միջնորդությամբ հանդիպմանն ու ինչ-որ փաստաթուղթ ստորագրելու առաջարկին՝ հենց ԱՄՆ և Ֆրանսիայի ճնշման ներքո։ Մեծ Բրիտանիան ցանկացել է ինքն էլ ներգրավվել գործընթացում, ավելին, ստանձնել այսպես կոչված «միջանցքի» վերահսկողությունը, ինչին դեմ են եղել ԱՄՆ-ը, Ֆրանսիան, ԵՄ այլ առաջատար երկրներ։ Ալիևն էլ օգտվել է այդ հնարավորությունից։ Թեպետ Բրիտանիան Ադրբեջանի մերձավոր դաշնակիցներից է, Բաքուն չի ցանկանում կախվածության մեջ գտնվել Լոնդոնից, խուսանավում է բոլոր ուղղությունների միջև, իսկ որևէ փաստաթուղթ ստորագրելու մտադրություն չունի, քանի որ առանց փաստաթղթի էլ հասնում է իր պահանջների կատարմանը։ Իսկ ԱՄՆ-ը և Ֆրանսիան առաջիկայում ավելի ակտիվ են ներգրավվելու գործընթացներին։ Զուր չէ, որ արդեն Հայաստանից ցավոտ փոխզիջումներ են պահանջում։
