ԱՄՆ իշխանությունները վերջին շաբաթներին աղբյուրից հետախուզական տեղեկություն են ստացել Իրանի կողմից նախագահի թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփի դեմ մահափորձ իրականացնելու դավադրության վերաբերյալ, ինչը հանգեցրել է ԱՄՆ Գաղտնի ծառայության կողմից նախկին նախագահի անվտանգության ուժեղացմանը, CNN-ին հայտնել են բազմաթիվ մարդիկ, որոնք այդ մասին տեղեկացված են:
Սակայն որևէ նշան չկա, որ 20-ամյա Թոմաս Մեթյու Քրուքսը, որը շաբաթ օրը Փենսիլվանիայում հանրահավաքի ժամանակ փորձել էր սպանել նախկին նախագահին և վնասել էր նրա ականջը, կապված է եղել իրանական կողմի դավադրության հետ, ասել են աղբյուրները:
CNN-ը նկատում է, որ թշնամական օտարերկրյա հետախուզական գործակալության կողմից նման սպառնալիքի առկայությունը և Թրամփի անվտանգության ուժեղացումը նոր հարցեր են առաջացնում Փենսիլվանիայում շաբաթօրյա հանրահավաքում անվտանգության բացթողումների և նրա վերաբերյալ, թե ինչպես է 20-ամյա երիտասարդին հաջողվել մուտք գործել տարածք ու դիրքավորվել՝ տանիքից նախկին նախագահին կրակելու համար:
ԱՄՆ ազգային անվտանգության պաշտոնյան ասել է, որ Գաղտնի ծառայությունը և Թրամփի շտաբը տեղյակ են եղել սպառնալիքի մասին շաբաթ օրվա հանրահավաքից առաջ:
«Գաղտնի ծառայությունն իմացել է այս սպառնալիքի մասին: Ազգային անվտանգության խորհուրդն ուղղակիորեն կապ է հաստատել ԱՄՆ Անվտանգության ծառայության հետ բարձրագույն մակարդակով, որպեսզի համոզվի, որ նրանք շարունակում են հետևել վերջին հաշվետվություններին: ԱՄՆ Անվտանգության ծառայությունը կիսվել է այս տեղեկատվությամբ, և Թրամփի շտաբը տեղեկացվել է զարգացող սպառնալիքի մասին: Ի պատասխան աճող սպառնալիքի՝ Գաղտնի ծառայությունն ավելացրել է ռեսուրսներն ու ակտիվները՝ նախկին նախագահ Թրամփի պաշտպանության համար։ Այս ամենը եղել է շաբաթ օրվանից առաջ», - CNN-ին ասել է պաշտոնյան:
Թրամփի նախընտրական շտաբը չի բացահայտել, թե արդյոք տեղյակ է եղել Իրանի սպառնալիքի մասին:
«Մենք չենք մեկնաբանում նախագահ Թրամփի անվտանգության մանրամասները։ Բոլոր հարցերը պետք է ուղղվեն Միացյալ Նահանգների Գաղտնի ծառայությանը»,- ասվում է արշավի հայտարարության մեջ:
