«Մալդիվների ընդհանուր տարածքը չի գերազանցում 300 քառակուսի կմ:
Մալդիվներում ապրում է մոտ 400 հազար մարդ։
Մալդիվներում կա միայն մեկ քաղաք՝ մայրաքաղաք Մալե։
Մալդիվներում շներ ընդհանրապես չկան. այստեղ նրանց պահելը պաշտոնապես արգելված է (վտանգավոր միջատներ կամ օձեր չկան):
Հիմնական փոխադրամիջոցներն են՝ արագընթաց նավերը և հիդրոինքնաթիռները։
Մալդիվների լողափերն ունեն սպիտակ ավազ, դա պայմանավորված է նրանով, որ ավազը պատրաստված է կորալից, այլ ոչ թե քվարցից: Այս տեսակի ավազը երբեք արևի տակ չի տաքանում։
Մալդիվները մուսուլմանական երկիր է, ալկոհոլի ներմուծումը արգելվում է, բայց հյուրանոցներում այն առկա է։
Մալդիվները պասիվ հանգստի մասին է, ակտիվ լինել հնարավոր է միայն ջրային ժամանցի դեպքում՝ սնորքլինգ, դայվինգ», - գրել է Մոնիկա Գրիգորյանը։
