НАТО не будет сбивать российские самолеты в воздушном пространстве Украины: Столтенберг

Войска НАТО не должны напрямую участвовать в украинском конфликте, в том числе сбивать российские самолеты и ракеты на территории Украины. Об этом заявил генеральный секретарь НАТО Йенс Столтенберг в эфире украинского телеканала ТСН.

“Политика НАТО неизменна: мы не будем участвовать в этом конфликте.... Мы поддержим Украину в уничтожении российских самолетов, но НАТО не будет участвовать напрямую", - заявил Столтенберг. 

Генсек НАТО также подчеркнул, что альянс продолжит оказывать военную помощь Киеву, в том числе путем усиления противовоздушной обороны страны. 

По словам Столтенберга, союзники по НАТО полны решимости доставить Киеву истребители F-16 как можно скорее.

В итоговой декларации саммита НАТО, проходившего с 9 по 11 июля, лидеры стран Альянса заверили, что продолжат поддерживать Украину "на необратимом пути полной евроатлантической интеграции, включая членство в НАТО".
