Միացյալ Նահանգները պետք է վերանայի քաղաքական ընդդիմախոսների, երկրների և ժողովուրդների նկատմամբ ատելություն սերմանելու իր քաղաքականությունը: Այս մասին իր տելեգրամյան ալիքում գրել է ՌԴ ԱԳՆ պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովան՝ մեկնաբանելով ԱՄՆ նախկին նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի դեմ մահափորձը:
 
Զախարովան շեշտել է, որ Ուկրաինայի իշխանություններին ֆինանսավորելու փոխարեն ամերիկացիները պետք է այդ գումարով ֆինանսավորեին սեփական ոստիկանությունը և ուժային այլ ծառայություններ, որոնք պետք է ապահովեն իրավակարգավորումը ԱՄՆ-ի ներսում:
 
«Երեկ Կիևի ռեժիմի պարագլուխներից Բուդանովը բացահայտ խոստովանել է, որ ուկրաինական հետախուզությունը մահափորձեր էր նախապատրաստում Ռուսաստանի նախագահի դեմ։ Այսպիսով, այս մահափորձը պատրաստվում էր կրկին ամերիկյան փողերով։ Զանգվածային ֆինանսավորմամբ և սպառազինությունների անվերահսկելի մատակարարմամբ Վաշինգտոնն Ուկրաինայում ստեղծել է ահաբեկչական կառույց՝ Կիևի ռեժիմը»,- հայտարարել է Զախարովան։
ԱՄՆ նախկին նախագահի դեմ հուլիսի 13-ին մահափորձ է կատարվել Փենսիլվանիայի Բաթլեր քաղաքում՝ նախընտրական ելույթի ժամանակ։ Քաղաքական գործիչը վնասվածք է ստացել ականջի շրջանում։
 
Ավելի ուշ ԱՄՆ Գաղտնի ծառայությունը հայտնել է, որ բեմի ուղղությամբ մի քանի անգամ կրակած կասկածյալը ոչնչացված է: Հրաձգության հետևանքով զոհվել է հանդիսատեսներից մեկը, ևս երկուսը ծանր վնասվածքներ են ստացել: Կրակողը 20-ամյա Թոմաս Մեթյու Քրուքսն էր։
