Ինչու էին ամազոնուհիներն իրենց կրծքի հետ անում ՍԱ... (լուսանկարներ)

Ամազոնուհիները բացառապես կանանցից բաղկացած ռազմատենչ ցեղ էին, ովքեր տղամարդկանց օգտագործում էին զուտ սերունդը շարունակելու համար։ Ընդ որում, նրանք դա անում էին բռնի ուժով։ Որպեսզի իրենց սերմնավորող տղամարդիկ չփախչեին, նրանք վնասում էին նրանց ոտքերը՝ կոտրելով դրանք կամ էլ կտրելով ջլերը, առավել ևս, որ համարվում էր, որ կաղերն ավելի լավ սիրեկաններ են։
Ամազոնուհիները գերի էին վերցնում տղամարդկանց, երբ հաղթանակած էին դուրս գալիս ճակատամարտում և պահում էին ռազմագերիների ճամբարում, մինչև նա կհղիացներ ռազմուհիներից մեկին, և վերջինս երեխա կունենար։ Եթե ռազմուհին աղջիկ էր ունենում, գերուն բաց էին թողնում։ Դե իսկ եթե ծնվում էր տղա երեխա, ապա երեխային տալիս էին հորն ու նրանց ազատ արձակում։
Աղջիկներին սկսում էին վարժեցնել 7 տարեկան հասակից։ Ուսումը ենթադրում էր ոչ միայն ռազմարվեստի սերտում, դիմացկունության բարձրացում ու որսի ուսուցում, այլև տառաճանաչություն, առաջին բուժօգնություն ցուցաբերելու հմտություններ և հոգեղեն պրակտիկա։
Սակայն ամազոնուհիներն ունեին մի սարսափելի ու պարտադիր ավանդույթ ևս. դեռ երեխա հասակում աղջիկների աջ կուրծքն այրում էին շիկացած երկաթով, որպեսզի այն չմեծանա։ Ձախ կրծքին ձեռք չէին տալիս։ Արդյունքում արդեն հասուն տարիքում աջ կուրծքը չէր խանգարում աղեղով նետահարել կամ էլ մարտնչել թրերով ձիավարելիս։
Ինչպե՞ս անհետացան ամազոնուհիները։ Հերոդոտոսի աշխատությունների համաձայն՝ Տրոյական պատերազմին մասնակցելու արդյունքում նրանց թիվը կտրուկ կրճատվեց, ու ողջ մնացած ռազմուհիները գնացին արևելաեվրոպական տափաստաններ, որտեղ միաձուլվեցին սկյութների հետ՝ ծնունդ տալով սավրոմատների նոր ցեղին, որտեղ ամբողջական իրավահավասարություն էր տիրում։ Այս վարկածը հաստատում են նաև բազմաթիվ սկյութական թումբ-դամբարանների պեղումները, որոնցում գտել են իսկական ռազմիկներին հարիր կերպով զինված կանանց աճյուններ։
