Բայց կարելի է գուշակել, թե ինչու են Երևանում հետևողականորեն վերացվում հին և պատմական նշանակություն ունեցող շինությունները: Երևի նրա համար, որ մի քանի տարի հետո քաղաքում, բացի Հաղթանակի զբոսայգու դիմաց կառավարության անդամների շքեղ պալատներից, ուրիշ տեսարժան ոչ մի վայր չմնա, և տուրիստներին ցույց տան միայն այդ դղյակները, պատմեն դրանց ստեղծման հանցավոր պատմությունը, զարմացնեն ներդրած գումարների չափով և անպատիժ մնացած անձանց քանակով: Այդ տների տերերը երևի իրենց շատ շոյված կզգան, երբ իրենց պալատները մի քանի տարի հետո հայտնվեն Երևանի տուրիստական ուղեցույցների առաջին էջերում:
Եվ նշանակություն չունի, փաստորեն, որ արդեն քանդված կառույցները մի քանի տասնամյակ հետո կարող էին դառնալ մայրաքաղաքի ամենահին շենքերը, արոնք կունենային պատմամշակութային և տուրիստական մեծ նշանակություն:
