Երեկ Հայաստան է ժամանել ԱՄՆ սենատոր Ռոջեր Ուիքերի գլխավորած պատվիրակությունը, որը մեր երկրում է գտնվելու մինչև հուլիսի 5-ը։ Ամերիկյան պատվիրակություններ Հայաստան բազմիցս են ժամանել, բայց Ուիքերի գլխավորած պատվիրակության այցը բավական ուշագրավ է՝ հաշվի առնելով սենատորի ով լինելը։

Միսիսիպիից ընտրված Ուիքերը հանրապետական է, նախկին նախագահ և այժմ նախագահի առաջատար թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփի զինակիցներից։ Հայտնի է իր ընդգծված հակառուսական դիրքորոշումներով, 2021 թվականի վերջին կոչ էր արել կանխարգելիչ միջուկային հարված հասցնել Ռուսաստանին։

Ուիքերը նաև ԱՄՆ Սենատի Զինված ուժերի, Առևտրի և Եվրոպական ուղղությամբ գործընկերության հանձնաժողովների առաջատար անդամ է։ Հանրապետականները սկսել են ավելի մեծ ուշադրություն դարձնել արտաքին գործերին, վստահ լինելով, որ Թրամփի ընտրվելուց հետո պիտի իրենք ստանձնեն իշխանությունը։ Ուիքերը, մեր տեղեկություններով, Հայաստան է ժամանել ծանոթանալու իրավիճակին, հայաստանյան բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներին, ներկայացնելու ենթադրյալ նոր վարչակազմի քաղաքականությունը, նաև որոշակի շտկումներ մտցնելու։

ՔՊ մեր աղբյուրի փոխանցմամբ, Ուիքերը հանդիպելու է ոչ միայն վարչապետի, ԱԺ նախագահի, ԱԽ քարտուղարի հետ, այլև բավական ինտենսիվ շփումներ է ունենալու արևմտամետ կուսակցությունների և կառույցների ներկայացուցիչների հետ։ Ըստ մեր աղբյուրի, իշխանությունները բավական մտահոգ են այս այցից։

Ի տարբերություն ԱՄՆ Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության, որի հետ սերտ կապեր կան, հանրապետականների հետ երբեք էլ առանձնակի ջերմ շփումներ չեն եղել։ Իսկ այսօր, երբ Թրամփը հռչակել է ԱՄՆ ինքնամեկուսացման և միայն հարցերով զբաղվելու քաղաքականության մասին, Փաշինյանն ու իր թիմը ստիպված են լինելու նոր ուղիներ փնտրել դեպի ՌԴ ղեկավարության սիրտը։
