Բայդենը բացահայտել է Թրամփի հետ բանավեճում ձախողման պատճառը

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենն ԱՄՆ նախկին նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփի հետ հեռուստաբանավեճում իր անհաջող ելույթը բացատրել է նրանով, որ հեռուստաբանավեճից անմիջապես առաջ նա մեկնել է արտասահմանյան ուղևորությունների։
«Ես որոշեցի բանավեճից առաջ շրջագայել աշխարհով մեկ։ Ես չլսեցի իմ օգնականներին և քիչ էր մնում քնեի բեմի վրա»,- ասել է նա Վիրջինիա նահանգի Մաքլին քաղաքում նախընտրական դրամահավաքի ժամանակ:
«Սա ոչ թե արդարացում է, այլ բացատրություն»,- ընդգծել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը, որի խոսքը մեջբերում է Սպիտակ տան մամուլի ծառայությունը։
Բայդենն իր մրցակցի հետ հեռուստաբանավեճից առաջ օտարերկրյա ճամփորդության գնալու որոշումը որակել է «ոչ այնքան խելացի»։
«Ես այնքան էլ խելացի բան չեմ արել՝ որոշելով ճանապարհորդել աշխարհով մեկ»,- ասել է նա։
ԱՄՆ նախագահը նաև ներողություն է խնդրել բանավեճում իր ձախողման համար, սակայն նշել է, որ ելույթ ունենալը «կրիտիկական կարևորւթյուն» ուներ ընտրություններում հաղթելու համար: Միաժամանակ նա խոստովանել է, որ իր ելույթն անհաջող է եղել։
Բայդենի և Թրամփի հեռուստաբանավեճը տեղի է ունեցել հունիսի 27-ին Ջորջիա նահանգի Ատլանտա քաղաքում։ CNN-ի հարցման համաձայն՝ բանավեճը դիտած հեռուստադիտողների երկու երրորդը քվեարկել է Թրամփի հաղթանակի օգտին: Ինչպես ավելի վաղ հայտնել էր The Wall Street Journal-ը, ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսում դեմոկրատների շրջանում խուճապ է սկսվել հեռուստաբանավեճում Բայդենի անհաջող ելույթի պատճառով։ Նշվել է, որ որոշ դեմոկրատներ հույս ունեն Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից նախագահի թեկնածուի պաշտոնի համար նոր հավակնորդ գտնել։
ԱՄՆ նախագահական ընտրությունները տեղի կունենան նոյեմբերի 5-ին։ Թրամփն արդեն ստացել է անհրաժեշտ թվով պատվիրակների ձայներ՝ որպես պետության ղեկավարի հանրապետական թեկնածու առաջադրվելու համար։ Բայդենը, որն առաջադրվում է երկրորդ ժամկետի համար, ապահովել է Դեմոկրատական կուսակցության բավարար թվով պատվիրակների աջակցությունը։ Նրանց թեկնածությունները կհաստատվեն ամառվա վերջին կուսակցության համագումարներում։
