Ռուսաստանի նախագահի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը կարծում է, որ Ուկրաինայի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Զելենսկին պետք է մտածի Ռուսաստանի առաջնորդ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի խաղաղ առաջարկի մասին, քանի որ Կիևի համար ռազմական իրավիճակը վատթարանում է:
«Ժամանակին Զելենսկին իշխանության եկավ խաղաղության դրոշի ներքո և խաղաղություն հաստատելու, Ուկրաինան փրկելու մտադրությամբ։ Նա միշտ ասում էր, որ աթոռից չի կառչում, միշտ ասում էր, որ հանուն իր հայրենիքի պատրաստ է ամեն ինչի։ Տեսնենք՝ պատրաստ է արդյոք նա ամեն ինչի, որպեսզի հետագայում չվատթարանա իրավիճակը», - ասել Է Պեսկովը։ Նա ընդգծել է, որ «ամեն անգամ, երբ Պուտինը խաղաղ նախաձեռնություններ է հնչեցնում, եւ երբ քաղաքական-դիվանագիտական հուն դուրս գալու փորձեր են արվում, երկրի վրա որոշակի պայմաններ կան, ամեն անգամ դրանք Ուկրաինայի համար վատանում են»:
«Ճակատում իրավիճակի ներկայիս դինամիկան մեզ հստակ ցույց է տալիս, որ հետագայում ևս այն ուկրաինացիների համար կվատթարանա։ Երևի մի քաղաքական գործիչ, որը հայրենիքի շահերը վեր է դասում իր սեփականից և նույնիսկ իր տերերից, կմտածեր նման առաջարկի շուրջ: Տեսնենք, թե ինչ կլինի», - հավելել Է Կրեմլի ներկայացուցիչը ։ Պեսկովն ընդգծել է, որ ՌԴ ԱԳՆ ղեկավարության հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ հնչեցրած առաջարկը «վերջնագիր չէ, դա հենց խաղաղ նախաձեռնություն է, որն արվել է ՝ հաշվի առնելով երկրի վրա առկա իրողությունները»:
