Դեռ փետրվարին հայտնի դարձավ, որ ՀՀ կառավարությունը Փարիզում մտադիր է 23 միլիոն եվրոյով Հայաստանի դեսպանատան համար ծառայողական շենք գնել։ Կառավարության՝ փետրվարի 15-ի նիստում որոշման նախագիծը ներառվել է չզեկուցվող հարցերի ցանկում։ Շենքը գտնվում է Փարիզի ամենահեղինակավոր շրջաններից մեկում և ունի պատմական արժեք, քանի որ պատկանել է Վալերի Ժիսկար դ'Էստենին՝ 1956 թվականից ի վեր Ֆրանսիայի Հինգերորդ Հանրապետության երրորդ նախագահին։
 
Այս շենքից քիչ հեռու գտնվում է Ֆրանսիայում Հայաստանի դեսպանությունը։ Կառավարության որոշման մեջ ասվում է. «Ֆրանսիայում Հայաստանի դեսպանատան երկարատև բանակցությունների արդյունքում առևտրային կողմը համաձայնվել է վաճառել այն 23 (քսան երեք) միլիոն եվրոյով, մինչդեռ, ըստ գնահատող հեղինակավոր կազմակերպությունների գնահատականների՝ շենքի իրական արժեքը զգալիորեն բարձր է այս գումարի չափանիշից»
 
Հունիսի 6-ին ֆրանսիական «Le Figaro» թերթը հոդված է հրապարակել՝ «Հայաստանը Ֆրանսիայում թանկարժեք շենք է ձեռք բերել իր դեսպանատան համար» վերնագրով հոդված, որտեղ ասվում է. «Ֆրանսիայի նախկին նախագահ Վալերի Ժիսկար դ՛Էստենի առանձնատունը վաճառվել է։ Ընդհանուր մակերեսը կազմում է 1226 քմ։ Բնակելի մակերեսը՝ մոտ 1000քմ։ Շենքը երկհարկանի է։ Յուրաքանչյուր հարկի մակերեսը մոտավորապես 500 քմ է։ Նախկին նախագահը այս առանձնատանն ապրել է մոտ 60 տարի։ Շենքը վաճառվել էր անցյալ տարի։ Նոր սեփականատիրոջ անուն չի հաղորդվում։
 
Ըստ նոր տեղեկությունների, գույքը գնել է Չարլզ Բեյգբեդերը՝ ստարտափների ծրագիրը հովանավորող հիմնադրամի հիմնադիրը: Գույքը գտնվում է Բենուվիլ փողոցում, Պորտ Դոֆինի մոտ, Փարիզի 16-րդ թաղամասում։ Արժեքը կազմել է 19 մլն եվրո։
